I'm one of those people who started this hobby from very beginning.
Back then, any new releases for these old school robots were rare and scarce,
so we had to be thankful for whatever they threw at us.
The quality of products were poor in general,
and our best and only hope was for Bandai to do SOC.
Even then, it was not always in our best likings.
Overall, we were just getting lesser for more,
especially when compared to more popular guys like Gundam.
I was always envy of Gundam fans..
But not anymore.
Now we got Sentinel, Pose plus, CCS Toys, 5Pro, and many others,
there's just no need to desperately wait for Bandai anymore.
So these days, I take pity on Gundam people,
because it's now them that are getting lesser for more LOL.
This hobby is really getting better and more exciting than ever =)

I almost wished they would have figured out a way to lengthen out their legs more so all 5 lions look more proportionally similar. Thats my only gripe about this figure... But YES, I am happy there is more than bandai making old robots as I've been so turned off by Gordian and its cheesy quality vs some of the other new brands...

So for the people in USA, do we place order with blue fin or directly with Blitz way? I got a message from Blitz way that they dont ship overseas anymore....

@ S_Gokin what happened to you man? I see you in the latest posts criticizing every new gokin release. As long as people excited and happy they got what they want and justify the price I would support them on it. Besides you can’t judge a figure until you have in your hand. I do respect your opinion and I do listen to your take but try to show little excitement. It’s the holiday where we are after all.
this is off topic
kindly dont generalize, did i criticize the DX Albegas or Alphamax Grendizer, bryger, Baldios Mini Action Mazinger z or Dairugger ? i didnt even criticize this figure until i saw more images and of course the price
if i saw something i like of course i would say i like it for 1,2,3 and if i saw something i dont like of course i will criticize it for 1,2,3 simple
also why should i show excitement about an over priced figure ? its not logical my friend
i was super hyped about the thunder megazord i even put it in my to buy list didnt even think twice about it, but for $300 thats a big no specially for a 19cm figure
Eid is over man, back to work now

I only bought from them once but they shipped promptly and packed well. I have a preordered another figure from them recently. From what I understand, Blitz/5Pro will not honor “after service” IF bought outside from their distribution area. That’s due to agreed policy with other distributors at the respective market. I believe this is due to so distributed markets won’t cannibalize profit and it’s also to encourage expanding the market.

The reason people are excited about this Voltron is not just because it's a Voltron, that's because this appears to be the definitive version of Voltron ever. Unless they really screw up on things like joints, this is going to be a huge hit. After all, the reason people are into this hobby is because they want the best iteration of their beloved character. i think voltron is one of those robots that people get excited about every new figure for it, look at the SMP, Titan power even the Lego voltron got his share of excitement, keep on mind these came after the GX71
since you mentioned screw ups we didnt see the diecast location or how much diecast in it, after all it comes from a company that have only 1 legit diecast (carbotix) figure which is Astroganger the rest have little to no diecast, for me its not a priority give me a high quality figure with decent articulation and i will be happy but for $700 it should have alot of diecast

Metal content wise, Between SOC and ET Metal Action would be nice…
But Carbotix history says don’t get your hopes TOO high haha
Otherwise I’d thUnk 5Pro would have proudly shown off bare naked material proto awhile ago….

We already know its weight, about 2.3kg. That's a lot heavier than both DX Voltes (1.4kg) and DX Combattler (1.6kg) Hell, it's even heavier than larger Metal Structure Nu-Gundam (1.9kg) And when compared to the SOC Voltron, the weight increase will feel just adequate, because when our eyes see things, we see them in 2D image, so the 30% increase in height to SOC will give you an impression of about 60% size increase, which makes the 60% weight increase right on spot.

Hi, did anybody else order from their Carbotix Voltron from here: 5pro_studiodistributor shop2.ora5pro.cafe24.com/index.htmlI did and now it's been taken off their website and I'm feeling a bit anxious. They only charged me $98 for shipping and I'm assuming this counts as the deposit as it's not been released yet. I got the link from 5pro studio's website so it seems legit. Just wondering what happens next and when they will ask for the remaining payment.

That link is only for folks in Japan, China, Macau, HK and Taiwan. Everyone else living elsewhere can't order sadly...

I live in the UK and was able to order through 5pro_studio. I was able to add my UK address etc. Just surprised the Voltron listing is no longer on the website. I've messaged them to ask when they want the rest of the payment and next steps etc- I will report back once they reply.

That site you pre-ordered from was stated as 5Pro distributor, however I am wondering why the store name or details aren't listed? Maybe other members can chime in if they have purchased from them before?

Bluefin has posted on their Facebook page that they will be the distributor for USA. Now that Blitzway has posted the figure for sale I’m wondering how long it will be for US pre-orders to go live?

Bluefin stated on Twitter for you US folks Wed 28th July, so the PO should be up from them and other US stores carrying it sometime today.

I went with Brandon from supremecollector this time. The number of orders he accepted indicates how much people want this figure.

I preordered through Supreme Collector BST on Facebook for $638. Don't sleep on this guys - I've never seen Brandon take so many preorders in one day.
