This is what the SOC should have been! 110% agreed with this. I almost feel like the SOC design was slightly outdated by the time it came into fruition. I suspect that Bandai had engineered it a few years before they finally got the license from WEP. Barring any bad luck from any QC issues, this Carbotix Voltron looks like it could dethrone GX-71 as king of the modern Voltron chogokin. |

Is there anything exclusive coming with it that's only available on Blitzway's site? Should I wait for BBTS or Sideshow to have a pre-order? Sideshow has payment plans and I can use points.

other than the size and the LED,s i dont think this figure have much going on for that WORTH the price for me it feels like the GX-71 version 1.5 also why the blazing sword and the shield looks very small comparing to the figure ?

It's more than 30% taller, and the design is a good deal bulkier. Sculpting seems sharper and it has more complex engineering and gimmicks, as well as more accessories. It also weights almost double the SOC, and is heavier than even the DX Combattler. $700 is a lot but I can understand why it's much more expensive than the SOC. Maybe $500-$600 would be more fair, as unlike the DX line this doesn't feature any licensed songs, voice lines, or sound effects. However you raise a good point about how small the sword and shield are. |
