Looks fun, despite the lack of metal.

So does this guy suffer from any QC issues?

As usual~ very fun and informative (and educational but so fun you don’t realize you’re learning! haha)
Thank you Gold for these invaluable reference reviews! When are these reviews coming out as a book?

I want to add a warning when handling this figure. I wasn't careful and caused some paint scratches at the feet.

Hey, thanks guys for the kind words. Always happy to do reviews (even if it's usually almost half a year late, lol... I need a better work/ life schedule). Hehe, it would be so awesome if I could actually print a book compiling everything I've ever done. Hmm.... I wonder... I just picked up the One Eight last week. Will try to have the review out before year end. I want to add a warning when handling this figure. I wasn't careful and caused some paint scratches at the feet. Ohhh, good tip! I hadn't realized this. Thanks for the headsup Getterboi. Gold

I received GX-101x over the weekend, the One Eight 'accessory'. It is very cool! It's low on diecast, as we knew, but also a very high quality build with intricate engineering. I'd be curious to know what sort of Bandai figure it most closely resembles in its build-type, as there are many lines. Some flavor of metal Robot Spirits, maybe? I'm also curious about GX-101x as it relates to GX-44S, the Tetsujin that came with a Black Ox accessory figure - I've read that people didn't think Black Ox had enough diecast, or wasn't a full SOC. I wonder if they could do it again, would that Black Ox have been GX-44X.

Hi guys, here's my review for the Gx-101X One Eight. Please click on image to jump to the full review page. Pretty basic, but looks beautiful in its simplicity. A great compliment to the Gx-101 Daitetsujin 17. Gold

half the weight of the 17....was pretty disappointed by that... Thus far soc line up has produced more duds than i care for...

Great review, as always, Gold . Mine is on its way. I understand that 18 is just a big accessory, so no complaints about die cast content. I think this is a great release to have if you have already bought 17

Finally picked one of these up and the first thing I did was transform him, and a couple of things irk me.
1) The upper body won't go completely parallel with the legs so it leans back ever so slightly. 2) The soles are not level so it easily rocks left and right.
EDIT: And immediately after making this post, I decided to check Gold's review to see if I'd missed anything and I realized I missed a step where you're supposed to slide the feet back, but that still doesn't address the #2 problem.
