I see the reissue stuff on eBay all the time, but not this piece, i see people writing about it but no photos. Did the JAGUAR reissue ever come out? i know NHC and Cyborg 99 didn't do super great business, was this canceled? Billy Galaxy seems to have a lot of the originals and suits, but a little too pricey to scoop up without an army of Jaguars to display them with!

I didn't even know they had planned to do one. They had a little feature on the jaguar on the takara website for a while and I think the text was one big Jpeg so you couldn't run it through the translator. Some people got the idea it heralded a reissue, but I think it was retrospective. I hope I'm wrong! Takara just got bought out by Tomy anyway, so any plans may have changed.

Actually, even if they don't repro the figure in exact Henshin packaging, technically there WAS a reissue jaguar, back in the late 1990's. The smoke colored Jaguar had a color scheme similar to that of the Android. I had always hoped Playmates would release the toy when it released the other RONIN WARRIORS figures. (The Jaguar was featured on the back of the Ronin Warriors USA packaging.) I waited patiently for many months, but alas a cheap and affordable Jaguar army was never to be. The reissue figure works best for animal costumes, as the head of the reissue is permanently affixed to the neck, for He has NO BRAIN!!! Without a soft removable head, some of the costumes don't work so hot. The Joints also may require a little tightening compared to the vintage figures. Still, it is a very cool toy. - Guy

Just do your usual searches under Takara Jaguar. That is how I have always found them listed. You can try under Ronin Warriors / Samurai Troopers, but it seems to take forever for them to turn up. It is probably easier (and cheaper) for you to just buy a Vintage Jaguar. There are a lot more of them out there and the joints are much tighter than the Smoke colored Samurai version. - Guy
