Well, we all know what's coming after. If there's a new Mazinger there will always likely be a new Great Mazinger so maybe GX-106 for that figure. And a black version. And then an OVA version. And then a Go Nagai version. And then an OVA Go Nagai version. And then a black OVA version. And then a black OVA Go Nagai version. And then a Shin Mazinger version. And then a Shin Mazinger Big Bang version Punch version. And then a DC version. And then a black DC version. And then a Go Nagai DC version. And then a damaged version (cool! but im worried now that they might do the same for Great Mazinger and Grendizer which means i will have to double dip on those as well
I think they will totally do that, and then Getters too. I'm still filling in holes in my D.C. lineup. I was behind with the releases, but now I think Bandai is about to lap me. Having said that, I PO'd this and Garada/Dublais. I guess I'm not the biggest fan of the GX-70 proportions, and GX-105 looks a little more typical to me. |

its an interesting topic indeed
for me im a sucker for Mazinger, so i have no issue with this new release but with other robots i will need to think about it, since they are very close to each other design wise
as you said the GX-105 looks more like GX-70R still on the skinny side but its a good thing to have

to hell with the SP bro i NEED DX Grendizer thats the main trinity i want to complete now
and i agree with you ALOT of people are waiting for the GX-76S but Bandai slept on that one, thing is Grendizer is very popular world wide but still they didnt even gave it the SP treatment

We have gotten many getters lately. maybe kiryu (mecha godzilla) will be one of those, and I'm still waiting for the Dol giran they showed next to daileon. I'd love to see Neo getter (I think it is the most important getter we are missing) or getter rekka (impossible but a man can dream). s _gokin SP can go to hell after they gave me the Boss borot SP. my mazinger collection is missing boss and the robot junior, bandai owes me that, and the prices for the ET robot junior have skyrocketed (the only modern toy of robot junior, and in scale with the SOCs) |

i highly agree with you the Hover Pilder in the GX70VS was terrible this one is very nice, we can kinda see Kouji inside and thats a feature was limited to the DX Mazinger

since the hype is gone now i can give you my thoughts about this
to be honest i dont like the overall proportions, its chubby in some areas and skinny in the some areas
i dont like the face sculpt much and overall head design it have this weird V shape
there is these wired circles above the elbows ?
and lastly i think its a cheap move with the effect parts why they didnt include a full effect like the Metal Build Infinity ?
but you see even with all those points im still going to get it lol
as for the GX-103 and GX-104 i wont even try to guess, we saw ton of stuff and we didnt see ton of stuff so it could be anything

GX-105 has some strange proportions compared to GX-70. It looks to me like it has a bigger head, maybe to accommodate a bigger more detailed hover pilder while keeping the same height as other SOC Mazinger Z figures? Breast plates look smaller, torso looks shorter, chest looks higher, low rise undies, and upper arms look thicker too.
Then again GX-105 looks similar to the Mazinger Z in the series intro:

Yeah, I think they made GX-105 even closer to the anime. But makes me wonder, why make it more screen accurate to bad drawings (messed up perspective)? Now Mazinger looks like wearing his pants too high.   If they follow this image, then we'll get tiny right shoulder and crooked uneven eyes next.  |
