guys what about the XR effect app ? so far i didnt see any actual use of it How do I even download the app? I searched the apple app store for XR Tamashii Gimmicks, Bandai, Mazinger Z, and other stuff and couldn't find it. tamashiiweb.com/special/gimmick/EDIT: Never mind. In the same page I linked above: "It was scheduled to be released on December 28, 2022, but due to development progress, the release date will be postponed. Regarding the new release date, we will inform you again on this page. We are very sorry for the customers who are looking forward to it, but we would appreciate it if you could wait for a while."

Looks like no stand for devilman this time. I would rather have the stand than the broken wings but any SOC part is a buy because I feel like my figure is incomplete without it, and I don't have devilman yet.

I think it comes with the same steel-girder stand that the first release had. tamashiiweb.com/item/14315/?wovn=en

Finally got mine yesterday (from BBTS), it's amazing! I highly recommend this figure! Love the articulated Pilder with the little Koji inside, the rocket punch feature, the sculpt, everything! The only thing missing is probable a base, but that shouldn't stop anyone from getting this amazing Mazinger Z figure!

okay guys i just got mine (finished taking photos) and here is what i think about this release
for a 50th anniversary its very underwhelming, how ? well here we go
1-the GX-70 got magnets in the head and in the pilder for better grip, the GX-105 dont have those
correction the GX-105 does have magnets in the head and in the pilder, i retested it with some magnets, thing is and unlike the GX-70 the magnet is much smaller and its inside the pilder so the magnetic filed is much weaker than the GX-70
1-the pilder fans (in the wings) dont rotate they are fixed in place
2-the closed fist sculpt is PURE ugly
3-the mid section is very odd
4-the fire effect for the rocket punch as an attachment to the arm is just lazy
for a 50th anniversary i would like to see better things than this, for example why the figure comes with almost nothing ? oh wait 1 shaking hand and a scrander wing with ANOTHER figure might do
why they didnt include some legit effect part and rework some parts in order to be worth of a 50th anniversary ?
im telling you those how call the shots at Bandai's are either noobs or lazy as heck the only good thing about the figure is the face sculpt and somewhat the updated articulation thats it
GX-01R still the best over all Mazinger in the SOC line for me

I think maybe you got a defect and they forgot the magnet, because if I hold a screwdriver to top of Mazinger's head, it will attract it.

The only thing missing is probable a base, but that shouldn't stop anyone from getting this amazing Mazinger Z figure! Well, Being completely honest with you guys, both a friend of mine and I got the figure at the same time, so I saw him open his figure (so my previous post was done after having THAT figure in hand). A couple of days later I opened mine, and mine came with a defect, the fire thing was not attached to the forearm, it was broken (I can't believe quality issues like this can exist in products from Bandai), it's broken. I contacted the website where I purchased the figure (BBTS) and they issued a refund (not a full refund, they didn't refund shipping), and they told me to keep the figure. I can order a new one (and pay shipping and customs fees again) and sell this one (of course letting the buyer know this one has a defect) or try to repair the figure and use that money to buy something else. I'm gonna attach a picture showing the problem so you can see more clearly how it looks like. What would you guys do?

I would just glue it back and keep it. Unfortunately, every mass produced product will have a % of defects/QC issues, even Bandai. No company is perfect, and all dependent on the Chinese factories they contract to produce the toys.

Hi Epicasino, sorry to hear about the defect…we been there and it sucks.
I say keep the figure and put the refunded money towards to fund another figure.
There three hard cold objective Reasons for my suggestion:
1. If you get another 105, it MIGHT have either same or other defects, or both…(why risk the pain again). 2. You MIGHT consider the defect not THAT serious as you’d probably likely just display it “MUSEUM pose” anyways (like most of us, if not, my apologies for the assumption.) 3. Most likely this piece is not going to go up in value (not anytime soon for obvious reasons), so why give it an another chance of getting the “perfect” specimen.

The forearm can not be attached to the arm, so the only way I can display Mazinger is without that piece. What I'm gonna do is try to fix it and see how it looks (and if it stays in place), if I'm ok with the results, I think I'm gonna buy other stuff with that money like you said and just keep this one. Also, there were some very light scratches in Mazinger's right arm and leg, I'm very disappointed with Bandai. Before getting this figure my only SOC Mazinger was GX-01R (which I bought in 2003), this was the first SOC Mazinger I've ever bought in 20 years, and when I saw my friend's Mazinger, I thought it looked great (and posted about it here), but mine is a mess, it's really disappointing. Thank you for your reply!
