The color schemes of this pair caught me off guard, but they're growing on me. They look like "anime colors", but so do the originals. It's like these are their 'broad daylight' colors versus the 'sunset' colors of the originals. Both pairs' color schemes easily fall within range of a 70s color TV, anyway, so I'm sold. The originals are so beautiful. I'm sure these will be too. Otherwise, they appear to be the same as the originals, which would be fine. I wonder if they will feel dated somehow in the presence of GX-105. That's actually fitting, as Mazinger-Z was a far superior machine in every way to Dr. Hell's first two mechanical beasts, which were based on formidable but ancient technology. Let them do the robot while GX-105 dances the Mamushka. Looking forward to these.

You are welcome! Yeah, some people are going to like the new colors just as much if not better. To me the new figures look too blue, as if they are under a blue light. There's very little contrast between colors.
I felt the same way about GX-08 Aphrodite A. I like the original colors very much, and didn't like the new colors of the 40th Anniversary version at all.
I HAVE the original…and you know what I JUST noticed (thanks to this great post)? Garada’s BIG old head! SOC one has an exaggerated superhero proportioned head.
You know how Bandai can make “me” double dip. Include a source correct better proportioned bigger head….how easy is that. But the head of Bandai SOC goes “NOPE, just let those peasants have different color….!!”
