Yeah, saw their PO already. Holding out hope that AE or some other place is not so pricey. I use LP for some things...got the Super Ostrich and Kampfer from them but they are sorta my Plan B.

Yeah, don't like using Luna Park unless I have to, since they are obvious retail scalpers that usually push the markup to sky high. I did get a Diaclone DA-80 Big Powered from them about a year ago, that surprisingly was below average market markup (matching Mandarake price, but brand new instead of used, but still expensive). I suppose Diaclone wasn't a commonly sold toyline in their inventory, so they were not as up to date on the pricing while the prices of Diaclone soared everywhere. Bought my thing, took them like a week to process (slow), but eventually got it in hand without issues. But right after I placed my order, I saw the price of DA-80 went up 20000yen in their listing. All their other Diaclone stuff prices also went up...they are more like Plan D for me.

But if you are patient enough, Sazabi will be populating Mandarake and Yahoo JP auctions later on, just like how blue Nu is. But you might have to wait a few months to a year after release.

Yeah it seems like some of the chogokin releases it is exclusive from the store at the RX93ff statue...

Gotta ask for those in the know: Where are the preorders for the Chogokin Sazabi? So far, just Luna-Park. This makes no sense.

Gotta ask for those in the know: Where are the preorders for the Chogokin Sazabi? So far, just Luna-Park. This makes no sense. The thing is that, as with many releases of this line, it is limited to a physical store, Specifically to the one where the hi nu gundam statue is so unless someone get it there is not available (like rx78 chogokin, freedom, and hi nu is a special release...). I won't be getting it, I'd rather wait for them to release a regular hi nu and then get a regular sazabi (probably they will release both)

Okay, so, no point to pay out of my e-@$$ to get this iteration and just pray that Bandai will release a more readily-accessible iteration at some point.

Then again, I also remember the old adage: Bandai hates us.

Joe's review. Apparently, P-Bandai US is ripping off Americans listing Sazabi for US$420, when it is listed around the equivalent of US$310 in Taiwan and Hong Kong P-Bandai respectively (found out from this video). They do sold out in seconds over there, while it takes days if not weeks before P-Bandai US closes the PO here. But still, a US$110 price difference due to region is pretty crazy, from the official vendor. At US$310, this would have been a pretty fair purchase in today's toy pricing. While less paint app and details than Metal Builds, they did added ratchets and lots of diecast parts to make up for it (this Sazabi weighs 1.1kg, very heavy). Joe also pointed out that there are diecast parts on the surface, like the thighs and the feet, so not just diecast in the joints like the MBs. Also, the figure is quite a bit bigger than normal MB figures, so it somewhat justified the $310 price tag, given you are ok with some of its shortcomings. But adding another $110 on the base price for no reason is a bit harder to swallow. I managed to score one at Nin-Nin, which most likely would turn out US$20-30 cheaper shipped. But still not a great buy, when you know that it can be had for $310... Oh well.

The exchange rate they use is 100yen = 1usd, but since Pbandai is region locked, and with shipping costs being so high nowadays plus the mark up sites charges for this items most of the times Pbandai US ends up being your best choice, but being this one such an expensive item ends up making a big difference. Anyway, I'd rather wait for a MB or a regular release, with a proper nu gundam but if someone wants this one go for it, since it won't be widely available and price will go up (and I can't see a new release being close either)

Yeah, this is a tough purchase indeed. I wanted a good diecast Metal Build sized Sazabi for many years, and this is as close as it gets. Just don't know how many more 10-years I have left to wait for another one LOL. Knowing that this is not Bandai's best work does make it feel a bit "off" paying for it, and at a very high price at that. Hopefully it delivers when I have it in-person, instead of having buyer's remorse. Time will tell.

This line is an OK work from bandai (like a bigger robot damashii with diecast, not bad but below MB or GFFMC level), and I'm ok with it when it comes to the Calibarn for example, but for the sazabi and nu I wanted a top tier figure, so I decided to let this one pass. I hope I don't get no buyers remorse I'll wait for your pics and comments about it.

Mighty strike freedom review. I still think this line does not worth the asking price. 33000yen for this figure seems a lot (20 usd less than the kampfer). Around 22000~25000yen I would probably feel comfortable buying them (that was the rx78, freedom and aerial chogokin price). That being said I've already payed for the calibarn, I'm pretty sure there won't be a 1/100 figure with diecast in the short or middle term (seems this line may be an option for bandai to release some obscure gundams from the not so popular spin offs)
