Just ordered one Great Mazinger Jumbo Machinder from Entertainment Earth. $219.99 with free shipping is a pretty sweet deal. I really hope they make others! Just look at what Super 7 and others are doing. I think these 2foot Jumbo Shogun Warriors would be an easy sell to the old and new. 1970's and 1980's era toys are an easy sell. Hopefully, these companies start making more. I think this is great. I have mixed feelings about if more Jumbo Machinders were to get released. It would be amazing to see other jumbo releases arrive, especially the ones that are so hard to find now. But on the other hand, I do not want to see my vintage Popy jumbo collection become devalued in similar ways that vintage (loose/complete) G1 Transformers have been affected. (For example, the Takara Tomy G1 Fortress Maximus reissue from several years ago, and what it forever did to the once coveted vintage 1987 toy's value.) That being said, I do appreciate how Bandai has put effort into differentiating the 2024 releases' parts to be different than vintage Popy parts. This helps identify and reduce the risk of some sellers trying to pass off modern parts as vintage parts. I agree with some others in that they would not be surprised if we are only getting Jumbo Mazinger Z and Jumbo Great Mazinger because its only for the 50th anniversary celebration.

Mine arrived today from Amiami. Here are side by side comparisons between the Popy Jumbo Machinder Mazinger Z (1973) versus the newly released Bandai Jumbo Machinder Mazinger Z (2024) edition. The vintage figure is slightly taller. Bandai did an amazing job on the 2024 version!! I also appreciate how it is not a 100% copy of the vintage original and all parts can be easily differentiated, thus preserving the originality of the vintage toy. Thank you Bandai!! πππ Can't wait for the Jumbo Great Mazinger in December 2024/January 2025!!

I am not much of a vintage collector, so I am glad Bandai made some small changes and upgrades. Magnetic Pilder and shooting Rocket Punch with orange plug are all great additions. My SOC sized Mini Machinder can now reunited with his dad very soon.

Woah, does that SOC weapon set include that mini Machinder Mazinger Z?? Yes. But it is all black plastic without paint. I had it custom painted instead.

I have this SOC weapon set also. That custom paint job is pretty great. May I ask who did it and how much it was?

I have this SOC weapon set also. That custom paint job is pretty great. May I ask who did it and how much it was? It was quite a while back, when that set first released. RoboToyBase sold them with the painted figure, for about US$150. Main figure is decent, but the paint on the missiles rubs off very easily. Looks like they didn't prime the missiles before adding paint.

Theirs appears to be airbrushed as well. Such a cool looking figure in that smaller scale!

Mine finally arrived and it is great! The upgrade of magnetic Pilder and the clear orange plug of the spring-loaded Rocket Punch are awesome. Everything is snug and snap on nicely, fists and missiles shoots well. Came with 20 missiles total, just enough to slot onto the body and the missile hands. It is a lovely retro piece. Only gripe I have is I wish they didn't use stickers for the belly and Pilder, but paint in the details instead, since it is obvious this is a remake, and not a replica of the vintage. Those stickers are usually the first to go after some years. But for something this big costing around $125 before shipping, it is a great buy! Even some special SHF or Robot Damashii can cost this much. Crazy!

Recently shown at the Tamashii Nations show several days ago. Looks like we will be getting more Jumbo Machinders to come. A few interesting things to note: - Grendizer, Mach Baron and Raideen that were shown were vintage Popy's, and not any type of prototypes for 2025.
- Interesting choice to reissue Raideen, as a vintage Popy Raideen can be currently purchased for less than what a reissue might cost.
- Are they making a Hover Pilder upgrade?
