Been some time since I posted over hear. I still like to read some of the old threads. www.taghobby.com/archives/756587Should be cool to see how this progresses for being able to buy.

That looks awesome.
It's not as prohibitively as expensive as the recent Abystyle release of the Grendizer Jumbo so, yeah, this looks like a must-buy for me.

Seriously hoping they'll pick up where Unifive left off I think I read somewhere that the next release after Gaiking was supposed to be Grendizer, but Unifive pulled the plug.

Bandai's been conservative, watching as Super7 and other mfg releases have greased up the jumbo nostalgia market, and now diving back in at the right time, LOL. Theyve had the ability all along, as shown by Banpresto earlier, so this is cool to see the old style materials back, with updates!

This works for someone like me, not necessary a vintage collector, but will get at least one of these for nostalgic reason, without paying an inflated price. These Jumbos are a significant piece of toy history afterall. I do welcome more entries later, not just stop at Mazinger Z. I don't mind buying a few of these, if they make characters I want.

Preorders should be dropping tonight. Though I am not sure if I should go for Japan shops but with very high shipping (due to size), or wait for US shops with cheap shipping, but some risk of missing preorders since they don't pop up in specific time. Jumbo Machinder should have good amount of audience in US, so preorders may sold out fast. At the same time, it is also a little niche and a space hogger, so not sure if many US shops will carry it.

Got in my PO from AE. AmiAmi had a nice price and they opened their POs a bit later but by that time, I had elected to get the one from AE...helps anyways since they have a PoL process.

Yen exchange rate helped a lot. I got one from Nin-Nin, paid around $208 shipped. May end up paying a little more than US shops, but the difference won't be significant after tax, in case not many shops carry it or I miss out on those preorders (since they pop up randomly instead of a set time in Japan).

Just ordered one Great Mazinger Jumbo Machinder from Entertainment Earth. $219.99 with free shipping is a pretty sweet deal. I really hope they make others! Just look at what Super 7 and others are doing. I think these 2foot Jumbo Shogun Warriors would be an easy sell to the old and new. 1970's and 1980's era toys are an easy sell. Hopefully, these companies start making more. I think this is great.
