Well, the shoulders on the new Ankoku Daishogun do indeed look stupid but they’re obscured by the cape and nobody is going to display him without the cape, so…

I've always had some level of regret regarding skipping the Aoshima version, it had a nice aesthetic.

Thanks for the quick comparo gunvalion, looks like the GX is more classic anime looking while the Aoshima one is clearly from the Mazinkaiser series. I had three of the Aoshima ones and they are literal diecast bricks.

Thanks gunvalion for the comparo photos. Thanks for the quick comparo gunvalion, looks like the GX is more classic anime looking while the Aoshima one is clearly from the Mazinkaiser series. I had three of the Aoshima ones and they are literal diecast bricks. I still have two versions of the Aoshima A.D. and yes, you could kill someone with these.

You right , really big beef heavy stuff if thats figure fall in your head Or fallin from table to your feet 🤣 But too bad the joint material still plastic , couldnt handle heavy steel cause will be more easy to broke if you display with extreme pose for long time , only capable for display common "A" pose . Thats why cant blame bandai for them to change material more plastic in Soul of chogokin line for better display problem or more fun to play with extreme pose .

how is this release feel? I can't find good informative reviews yet... is this a solid release? This review has comparison with the Figuarts Zero. While the SOC is superior due to articulation, chrome accents, and diecast. I find the sculpt on the Figuarts Zero look better, beefier shoulder, arms and torso, giving him a more menacing look than the gokin.

well.. it looks like didn't deliver a killer.blow of a figure this time aswell.. as the proportions of the figure are not very good looking, and the engineering is nothing to brag about.
what happened to our beloved SOC line! what is up with that Bandai?

Watching that video and looking at the two figures, I kinda like the SOC better honestly. It definitely looks more premium then the Figuart.
What is with Bandai not including stands with the SOC anymore though. As someone who displays everything with a stand it's very annoying.
I need to see if I can find a 3D print model of a standard SOC stand...
