Now we are talking... this is a must to my go nagai collection. Never liked the statue they released before, it was an easy pass. This on the other hand looks pretty good.

From the photos, I can’t tell how much different this version is from the 2018 SOC/Figuarts version. I see there is a new cloth cape, extra hands, electroplated gold details, and a break in the skirt but, other than those details, I can’t tell if the articulation is any better or if they added any die cast. I’m currently thinking this might just be a slightly retooled version of the previously released statue.

When I refer to the previously released version as a statue, I’m exaggerating for effect. The figure was not entirely static but it certainly wasn’t fully articulated either. My point being, a lot of fans (myself included) have been looking forward to a fully articulated diecast SOC Ankoku Daishogun figure and, unfortunately, I don’t think that this pending release is it. |

My point being, a lot of fans (myself included) have been looking forward to a fully articulated diecast SOC Ankoku Daishogun figure and, unfortunately, I don’t think that this pending release is it. It seems to have all the basic articulation you'd expect of a SOC. Only thing that's a major question is the exact range of motion and the waist, so no picture shows it turned or doing an ab crunch. |

You're right it's not a monster of the week just the Reckless General that managed to get himself killed by Great Mazinger in the Early 30s EP's He still was an Idiot within the show that got replaced by DR.Hell 2.0

I really hope that this chogokin has plenty of articulation, and isn't just the FiguartsZero again with some extra parts. I really need to have Ankoku Daishogun in a sword clash pose with SoC Great!
EDIT: Upon closer inspection at the photos, it appears he will have knee, shoulder, elbow (left elbow only), wrist, hand, and leg (probably only spreads) articulation. This is probably going to be the FiguartsZero again with a few new parts. It would probably explain why Tamashii Nations doesn't have too many photos showing it off. Lets just wait till someone reviews it. =(

I need it in my display. Chances are someone make a better one in the future, but I'm not so sure it will be I'm the SOC scale. I guess I'll stick to the old classic soc line. |
