yea brother i saw it
im not holding my breath anymore when it comes to Bandai's releases, i cant believe they picked a mechanical lizard over the King of the space
they literally could give us Grendizer to complete the DX trio then they could release anything they feel like but here is the Japaneses mentality for you

Also this was probably super easy for Bandai to roll out and price competitively, in comparison to a Grendizer who due to the current economic situation in Japan would probably cost over 100,000 yen.

This is awesome! tamashiiweb.com/item/14903/?wovn=enI think I'm more interested in the inevitable 1975 version, but this could be my first DX. Check out those knee joints (among many other things . . .)

I like this and will definitely get it, but like S_Gokin I am sad that there's still no DX Chogokin Grendizer. Seeing as how the Japanese yen has been tanking, and will very likely continue to do so, it won't happen.
Not sure if you guys are aware, but Japanese people are really starting to hurt from the high prices (and still increasing cost) of goods, even their own domestically produced products like books.

I'm a toku fan. Of course mecha G is a cultural Icon. I don't collect dx chogokin line, but I'm way into monsterarts. This one looks great, you can see it was done with love and care for the character. Not my cup of tea but it is a well deserved homage to the old mecha G.

bro thats an utter nonsense
ask any collector : would you like to have an alien super robot that calls Mazinger z "Aniki" or do you what a mechanical lizard that no one gives sh!t about ?
another one
one year later from the release, the GX-103 is still available at most stores with discount, while the GX-76SP sold out faster than a hellcat, and the regular GX-76 price tripled not even going to mention the Spazers before the reissue
no one care about who's the most popular, money talks, and Grendizer fans proved that with each release
if i went crazy and got this it will be only to do some scenes where Takeda cut Godzilla's head off

Not sure if you guys are aware, but Japanese people are really starting to hurt from the high prices (and still increasing cost) of goods, even their own domestically produced products like books. That's why I mentioned the low price. It's cheaper than many recent larger SOC figures, which really says something. To give an idea of how expensive a DX SOC Mazinger would be, just look at the recent DX Mazinger reissue. It came at around 88,000 yen (for an improved reissue!), and many stores struggled to move it and had to put it on sale. This was a figure that could go for over $1K used. The market is not ready for a DX Grendizer yet. bro thats an utter nonsense ask any collector : would you like to have an alien super robot that calls Mazinger z "Aniki" or do you what a mechanical lizard that no one gives sh!t about ? The mechanical lizard, obviously. Joking aside, with how many of their recent products, even highly anticipated ones, went on sale I don't blame Bandai for playing it safe, especially since they're not a company that does small runs.l, especially not for hyped items. Unless it's the Gundam Metal Steucture series, then they'll produce 50 and call it a day.

its a known fact that the R version have a price jump i know the Yen is falling but still
the issue is, alot of the recent Bandai stuff are either not popular or wanted, another fact that other companies are catching up offering better deal than Bandai
i think this will be on sale later on, i think it will be wildly available even those who want to get all of the DX line up are having a 2nd thought about this, seriously what does this character is doing in the DX line ? what next Baltan from Ultraman ?
bro ive been ready for the DX Grendizer since they published the blue prints, it wont be a hassle to make since they will use the same recipe in his brothers
i think the main issue here is King Art Spazer (hard to beat) also they might be waiting for the new anime to drop so they can maximum sales and profit
i also think its very funny when small companies jumping heads on and take risks with some robots while Bandai who can afford multiple failures having cold feet
last true SOC for me was and still the GX-88 after that it was either pass or mediocre, nothing jaw dropping

This is DX in name only. Display base and price is similar to GX-103 so I'm guessing it will be a companionon piece and we'll get 1993 version(s?) eventually.

I'm conflicted, as a huge Godzilla fan this brings back a lot of nostalgia for me but I'm also a huge Grendizer fan too. I'm guessing the best chance for DX SOC Grendizer will be in 2025 when it will be the 50th anniversary.

After considering this for a while I decided this is the time to pull the trigger for a preorder of the super7 clear version. Looks like huge value for $125. I already have the old chogokin which does not scale with the mix chogokin poster version or gx-103 anyway so feels like an easy pass and a good excuse to me.

I love this design! It brings me back to my childhood when I would watch classic Godzilla movies any chance I could. This Mecha Godzilla was always my fav villain haha.

I have a bunch of Mechagodzilla figures and I love the clear S7 figure. I think it’s the one toy in that line that lives up to its promise.

Sorry for some reason I couldn't add text in previous post. But I think the older chogokin godzillas were a perfect scale. They scale with early soul of chogokin as well as sh monsterarts. Kinda because monsterarts don't always scale well with each other. Why did they make Kiryu so big and now make a new big 1974 instead of completing the OG chogokin set? And why label it DX? Do smaller chogokin no longer sell well after competition has changed or what? I don't get it.

Seems like this is more of a stopgap release though rather than a full DX.

So the dx mechagodzilla is in a much bigger scale despite being almost the same size.
