Hi all. I know this sub-section has been slow so I'm hoping to get an answer from some of you. For my BFF's upcoming birthday, I'm looking for an Iron Man figure. It must be: - Readily available as brand new at online stores like eBay, Amazon, BBTS, EE, etc.
- $50 - $150 Budget
- Must have DIECAST
I appreciate the help.

Not an expert on this. But Threezero's DLX line come to mind. Might want to check out some reviews. They do fit your criteria being available, within budget, and has diecast. Think they are in 1/12 scale, but not sure if they are very accurate when next to other toylines.

I still have some time before I need to purchase it. After a brief looksee, it seems like these might fit the criteria: - Threezero
- Sentinel
- Bandai Spirits S.H.Figuarts
- King Arts (possibly >$)
But like you, I'm not familiar with the actual toys to make a decision yet.

But like you, I'm not familiar with the actual toys to make a decision yet. From what I can tell, S.H.Figuarts doesn't have diecast, and I would not recommend it. Not because they are bad, but I do collect SHF on other characters like Ultraman and Kamen Riders, and they are decently good, sometimes very accurate sculpts that look very cool. But they are super lightweight, not something on par of a gokin figure with diecast heft. They are more suited for anime characters or tokusatsu stuff. King Arts made a lot of diecast Ironman, but most of them are pretty old (they start their brand making those, but I think they stopped making those years ago, moved on to making anime robots). You'll have to research on what are still available and which ones are good. Sentinel excels in articulation and sculpt/design, but they usually are more stylized and very light on diecast (they may have a little, but don't expect much, especially on these small figures).

SHF from what I have and heard of, never has diecast. There can be exception of course, and this Ironman could be the case. But don't expect a lot, even if there is some. Threezero and King Arts would be better options, if you want more diecast (King Arts particularly). But do research on them, as my knowledge on these are limited. I am very familiar with Threezero and own a bunch of their stuff, but not on these 1/12 DLX Ironman figs. I have the DLX movie Optimus Prime, which is much bigger, but also quite heavy, with metal frame body and joints, while the exterior body panels are almost all plastic. But don't know if they did the same for the smaller DLX Ironmans.
