Scorl is probably my favourite new body microman, even though he's the first one I ever got. Can't go wrong with a ruby red translucent body plus the design is great, his head is one of the best of them all, it's a much cooler version of the acroyear concept (I always hated the clunky retro acroyears and never got one except the one that came in the "birth of acroyear set" so I could get the green microman). For the lady do you mean Acro Vena? She has acroyear style points on the side, but her face is perfectly smooth and animeish - or do you eman a more recent one with a skuull face? If it's a recent one which is it? I haven't bought most of the recent ones, 'cause they didn't seem vry interesting, but maybe that'd be an exception.

no one locally sells these. so i won 2 lots on ebay. since there was no mention of shipping cost, i inquired with the seller who dodged the question twice. i ended up winning 2 lots (8 different figures) for a total of 35 dollars! i was so stoked. when he sent the invoice, there was 30 dollars shipping from canada to here. hahahahaha. whatever, i thought. its still well worth it. money order sent over a month ago. no toys...... bummed.....

Yikes, that sucks. though a month isn't a disaster, considering it probably took a week for him to get the money order, and then it takes between 1-3 weeks to get the package over. But man, whenever sellers dodge shippnig questions, 99% of the time it's because they are going to purposefully rip you off. There's no excuse for $30 for microman lots, unless you won 100 figures! What else did you win?

Great Photos Johnny!
I must say the detail of your closeups is amazing...
You have really sold me on the small stuff now! Do you have any other figures in this EVIL looking set?

Uh oh - I don't want to be responsible for starting you on any new habits! Most of the other new body microman figures don't have such well detailed heads, unfortunately. They really started to go for that goofy smooth anime look, which for me defeats the whole purpose of microman. The only other evil figure I can think of who has a detailed head is "Voltec" also from the original series. His head is a brain alien head, and is protected by his space suit bubble thingymagism. This can be removed when he's in the privacy of his own home, but if any females that arent his relatives are present he immediately has to cover up...

Xborg7: I don't know where local for you is, but these are still available from Diamond Distributers in the USA, and i think they're at a deep discount too. My shop had them for $7-10 each, that was over the summer, so you might be able to get them real cheap.
the micro-acrolady i was refering to was the VENA. Anime-style face, but she comes with a cool purple windshield that covers that all up.

Lovely pics, Johnny!
I agree about the manga look a lot of the new Micro Force have, particularly the silly hairdos. I thought Acrocleve had a better overall design than Scorl, though. I was just going to get Cleve and Voltech until Prozac posted pictures which convinced me to get all four. The original Acroyear would be my favourite, though, with the ball hands. I wanted ever since I saw the blurry catalogue pic, but they never made it to the UK and I had to wait 'til I was grown up.
Sorry to hear you got bummed, Xyborg. Give it a bit longer and get them elsewhere if they're cheap. At least it wasn't some high priced vintage toy. I get bummed all the time for post here in the UK. Now I won't bid unless we have agreed a rate beforehand.

Speaking of Cleve - here he is - also one of my favourites. It's really hard to get a clean focus on these tiny guys without a tripod... As for postage, the best thing is to already know the cheapest service, and specify it when asking for a quote. So for Canada for example, for one cyborg, the vheapest service is USPS AIrmail Letter Post. This confuses many sellers since it isn't a letter so I always ask a variation of this stock question: "Hi - how much for shipping to Canada via USPS Airmail Letter Post (gopod for any box under four lbs). Actual price should be about $6-8 - the smaller the box you use the cheaper, thanks." That way they know what to look for, and they have less incentive to lie, cause you already know the actual cost. Many seller just don't know, and will quote parcel post which costs double the amount for the eact same thing.

Sure - what in particular do you want to see? THe whole figure? He face? His heinie? I like these pictures too, but they're too blurry - it's hard to keep the camera steady with such closeaups.
Man these figures' hands are just too damned big for their bodies.

Guy,
if you like those acroyears you should also check out the acroyear exos.
im sure youve seen them but again the head detail is very cool, the female (stera) has a very cool doll like face with a strange helmet and a clear blue removable visor, the other 3 have multi part heads too, optom has a weird german helmet type which reveals a cyborg like inner brain, acrograbz has an insect like head with flip lid and the president has a reversable head that turns into a monster head with opening mouth, their armours based on manta ray, octopus, vehicle and crab can be combined into the awesome acrowyvern, one of the more imaginitive microman releases so far.

Hey CBC - do you have some photos of their heads? Some closeups? I totally passed on that whole lineup - at first I was all hyped about this line, but when I saw the photos on www.microforever.com I found they all had totally non-detailed heads. Optom is just a sphere, etec. But you're talking about behind the mask, and Emperor's alternate head - I wanna see that! Maybe I'll pick some of these guys up then. Did you have any breakage issues with them?
