I recently san an episode of the 1970's Sentai series JAKQ plus the commercial for the figures. Each came with a henshin capsule just like the way they transformed on show. I wonder if Popy and/or Toei Studios try to match the success Takara made on the original Microman in the form of a live action series followed closely by the toys? AFAIK Go-Ranger (the team before JAKQ) didn't transform via capsules or henshin-brace. Could my theory be true?

Yeah, from what I recall they actually got in trouble with Takara over that toyline, which is why they didn't do any more quite like it and it is omitted from the Chogokin mook.

Popy also did a Spiderman version of the same toy type as well.

That makes sense. I don't see the Popy Microman'esque JACKQ toys ever for sale....
