Can anyone help me identify this guy?
He looks like Red Falcon from the Micronauts Magnemo range but all of the blue parts are dark blue as opposed to light blue (figure parts and falcon parts). The back is marked "1979 Takara Macau" and the missiles are black with large rubber tips.
Is this a later version or does it have a different name?
(Grrr... my photo hosting went down for maintenance while I was uploading the photos, but I'll add pics once it's working again, sorry)

Back in business pics... Any ideas? I know it's missing the fists and sword, figured I'd try an find out the name to give me a fighting chance of locating spares

Weird! I've never seen that variant. It isn't a "clone" though, it's definitely a licensed Takara product. The black mushroom bombs and blunt tipped beak are probably indications it was produced for Gig or one of the European licensees, since I've only seen black-tipped ones in some of the Trasformer line Gig licensed from Takara in the mid 80's. The fact it was made in Macau and not Japan is another indicator that it was produced for export. I don't think the original I Micronauti one I was loaned for my CG model of RF was from there. I'm going to guess it is either an unusual late-release I Micronauti Red Falcon, a prototype or error casting for the original I Micronauti one, or a variant sold in another country other than Italy that we haven't seen before.
I think Ray Miller ought to see this one....

I've managed to identify it with help from another site. It's a Silgord Warrior released in the Grandstand Convertors line in the UK. Thanks for the help micobry, you're spot on with the European licensed variant theory.

Ah yeah! I think Ray told me about that before...but I didn't know it was a different color, very cool! Definitely still quite the rare find, then!

Yeah, it's pretty cool, and it was cheap too ;D
I can't remember seeing one before, but I think Grandstand were only around for a short while.
Hopefully I can pick some fists at some stage. Or at least some in a better colour than the black Baron Karza ones I've got in there at the moment. Missing athe sword and one falcon leg as well, but at least standard RF parts are the same colours.
