Ahhh, truly stunning!
Personally, if I had to choose between a Diaclone and its TF incarnation, I'd go for Diaclone! I've always loved those drivers! ;D

To think I could have owned this thing. I remember back in '84 when Pinole Toy and Comic owner, Butch had this in the window with a huge sign: "New Optimus Prime Maximus Prime $29.99" I was in 6th grade at the time, didn't buy it because the box looked generic unlike the TF boxes, last time I judge a book by its cover!
Butch then would tell the kids the story that Optimus was going to get killed in a movie that will come out "next year" and will be replaced by Maximus Prime, almost, I guess he missed the name Ultra Magnus or maybe Rodimus Prime?

i've just bought the e-hobby reissue... I don't have the red car.... this is one of the best diaclone ever sold!
