Are you sure? these are from a model kit i think, to coincide with the eva game.

Is it just me or are Evangelions becoming the new Mazingers. I mean theres got to be how many versions of this figure already . But I'll probably still get it because Bandai's got me by the balls P.S looks like someone could use a Thigh Master

Yech. I'm passing on the evas but I bet most eva fans would prefer the white mass-produced one over this one that only exists in a game. The style leaves the same bad taste in my mouth as the fix 4th and 5th gundams. Thanks for the info though.

I've seen this before too but I also heard it being made for a model kit. Still the design is to Gundam-ish for an eva. What got me into eva is the sleek spiderman-ish design. If I want bulk I'll just go for gundams and Macross.

Are you sure? these are from a model kit i think, to coincide with the eva game. im 99.99% sure. I asked the local toy boss and he said GX-25 is an EVA, i didnt believe it at the time but later on a very poular chogokin robot forum of Taiwan claimed the same.

hmmm I didnt expect this one in the least, there is indeed a LMHG kit of this EVA. I was expecting the mass production EVA next.

It kinda makes sense to go on with the EVAs...little diecast content, same body type used, so Bandai only made one type of molds...odds are they are gonna milk this till the cows como home...

Thanks Andrew! Since all EVAs came long with ANOTHER EVA, maybe GX-26 is the Mass Production White EVA. One can only dream

The six Eva bases fit perfectly on one shelf even though six Evas crowd things a little. I wouldn't know where to put number seven. The last time I tried to mix an Eva with any other toy the results weren't pretty. (see Doesn't Play Well) www.robot-japan.com/pages/Eva-01/doesn%27t%20play%20well1.htm Even so, I would probably take the fall for the white Eva. But to dress up Unit One, and try to pass it off for a Gundam is just too much. The PG Zeta would just stomp it out of spite, and the other Evas would laugh at it...just spells trouble... JWM

I'll believe it when I see scans from Bandai's Hyper Hobby mag pics, and or official press reports.
Anyone else feel turned off by the looks? I mean the overall look just seem so out of character... Give me the sleek agile Evas anytime over these wannabes. Also, what's the point of having another set of armor on top of the armor already protecting the organic giants?

I was hoping that Bandai will end the SOC EVA series after gx-22 and move on to something else. C'mon, how many similar looking EVA line do we need after all?

call me nuts, but I'd love to see this made. THe weapon alone has more style than many collector grade toys out there.. Of course, bandai has me blinded already.

Did you guys notice that bandai releases some small projects(Mazinger girl series, two eva waves,1st wave of 4,2nd wave of 2) in between of the big projects(Getter team, dancouga and zambot)?

Yes Andrew, they seem to have a pattern to leave us pennyless. We've just had Zambot. Since the Maz Angels are a re-release/tool they do not count as "new models". In between we have Tetsujin 28 (small project 6K) and the Eva (another 5k yen) Bot. Probably early next year (january) they will have something BIG again. What would it be? The long awaited Voltes? Or another Darkhorse (Zambot, Dan)?
