Why are the Mazinger ladies so EXPENSIVE? Were their production runs less than other releases in the series?

Okay, let me rephrase the question: why are the Mazinger girls -- with the exception of Dianan-A and Venus, which are very affordable in comparison to the other gals -- so pricey on the secondary market? I've seen them go for $75-$100+ on eBay. Is there a reason for this? Were they produced in smaller quantities than the other bots? Is it just the secondary market's tendency to overprice female figures? What's the deal?
