Hi all, I just won a GX-06m off Ebay tonite, $91 US. Pretty cool! Next on the hit list is Grendizer now, will try to get it probably end of August, but being a bit new at this, how many SOC were released for Grendizer? I know there's a Black, and Regular coloured version (don't know the GX numbers) and then there's some deluxe sets? Or sets with just vehicles??? Help! Will I need to buy a toy and the expansion pak separately? Or is there a definitive set that comes with everything? Is there a black expansion set?? I need you SOC Grendizer experts to give me a crash course!

as for Grendizer! I think there is..
spazer set of 2--gx-04X-- grendizer reg color--gx-04-- grendizer black--gx-04B grendizer set with 2 spazers included--gx-04S
I think thats it.
black version comes with bonus small figure of the pilot.
this is still my favorite set and looks great displayed.

AHhhh! indeed ArtSpraken! my First and definately the definitive!
though the DMe30's gx-04 regular is my personal vote for modern definitive. the Original SOC grendizer and voted that Years Best Toy!

Artspraken, I had that version one as a kid too! I shot him out of the UFO while I was on the Hong Kong ferry to Kowloon as a little kid and this other kid picked him up. My mom and this other kid's mom yelled at one another and she refused to give us back Grendizer!
We ended up buying a 2nd one, so I had two UFOs. I don't know where it is now (probably donated to some charity organization toy drive?) I remember those honking big star shaped missiles too that fire out of the round wings...
Thanks for the help, YoMama! Carlo, when I am ready, I will send you a PM... I'd like to know though that the expansion pak w/ extra spazers are available somewhere too so I can HAVE IT ALL! I see now that the best edition to try and acquire is the 'Deluxe-but-mega-expensive' set. I saw pics of the black version on CollectionDX.com and I think that is waaay cool, but too bad no black version for the spazers.
In the last few days, I've bought the Ltd Edition see-thru armour Metal Material Gundam (Ebay... probably paid too much, $100, so not totally happy, I also realize that I already have the regular edition... I thought it was an Aile Strike Gundam as it was red and white) and with the coming soon addition of Silver Getter Bros plus a shipment of Micromen on the way, I'm going to put the brakes on for about a month or so. Thanks again guys!

My opinion:
GRENDIZER IS THE DEFINITIVE GIANT ROBOT! ;D
Seriously I think the dream combo is GX-04B - because of Duke Fleed and GX-04X, to complete the spazers.

The best bet is to get GX-04S and get the whole she-bang at once. Then later get GX-04B for some colour or lack of it and the pewter figure of Duke Fleed which looks great standing in front of his robot. That's why I went out and got GX-01B and GX-02B just so I can the pewter figures and have some variations.
