If it's a opened box with all the trees took off/built, 60$ is just a fine price, get it or not is up to you. If it's an unopened C10 box toy, you definitely need to get it.

Ack I keep forgetting you have to assemble GX-01. Is GX-02b better than GX-01? I might settle for that ionstead. I'm worried about the quality issues of GX-01b.

Ah, this is my first SOC! ;D I got the GX-01B about 6 wks ago, and paid about $75 US, so you're already one up on me! Cons: - Some snap-on assembly required (about 20 mins) for the rocket pack and different arms. The sprues leave little marks (but barely noticeable). - Maz is not very poseable; he has no waist joint, and the legs and feet don't wiggle enough for truly dynamic poses. - Chest armor falls off easily when touched. No problem if you don't touch it. Not a big deal though. - The worst thing about the toy for me: the gattling gun arm joint is SUPER LOOSE; the arms keep falling off when using the gattling gun gimmick. I touched the inside forearms up with a coat of clear nail polish and it is much better but still loose. Pros: - It's the Black Maz, and he looks SWEET! - Comes with a nice looking and highly detailed pewter pilot. - Click-stop arms... click click click! ;D - Using just the arms and head, you can still get some cool poses, but just not too dynamic (I got him to march). - Fists that fire (pretty far too!). - Nice base and presentation. - Did I mention that it's the Black Maz, and he looks SWEET? Oh yeah, I did! [ftp]http://img45.exs.cx/img45/4390/mazb1.jpg[/ftp] [ftp]http://img14.exs.cx/img14/7977/mazb2.jpg[/ftp] Overall: For $60, it's a no-brainer. Get it without a second thought!

Cause if it is I'm buying that next! ;D GX-02B is better than GX-01B since there is little to no assembly, and that Bandai had a about a year to improve the line since GX-01. I'd say get him and if you can get GX-04B, he is still the best Black version SOC out there.

What I meant by that was Bandai assembles the firing punch mechanism at the factory instead of having you do it yourself (exact same used for both Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger) plus you have to remember that GX-01 was actually designed to be a high quality model kit that was produced into a toy instead.

I doubt that GX-01B will be re-released, at the most GX-01RB may be released for sale, but I highly doubt that will happen .
