Read this off of ToyboxDX.Com.
This is a post by Matt Alt, regarding an article in Degenki Hobby and Hyper Hobby Magazine about the upcoming Garada K7, and Doublas M2 SOC's.
It's really interesting.
~~~~~~~~~~ In the past, I've never been particularly excited about SOC rumors/news, but the upcoming Garada K7 and Doublas M2 are (ahem) stimulating me more than I thought they would.
This month's Dengeki Hobby features little blueprint drawings of both, and skimming the fine print reveals a little more info about the proposed gimmicks. No, I ain't scanning 'em for you. Grab the September issue of Dengeki or Hyper Hobby for yourselves, ya big ol' cheapskates!
Doublas' necks are described as "more advanced versions of the joints used for the arms of Getta 3 and Boss Borott." No big surprise there. They're articulated ball-and-socket affairs, and are detachable and extendible via the inclusion of spare neck joint pieces. (The drawings show 4 pieces as the "default" length and enough spares to extend each up to a total of 9 pieces.)
The Garada features missiles that fit into the eye sockets (the drawings aren't clear, but it doesn't appear that they are spring-loaded or anything.) Interestingly, Hyper Hobby's version of the blueprint states that that the torso portion is all plastic, a line that's been deleted from the Dengeki version. What gives? Your guess is as good as mine. Both state that the head is black PVC painted silver. Let the b*tching begin!
-M ~~~~~~~~~~
A plastic TORSO? WTF?
