Well put jvm! I wouldn't even let my friends go near my SOCs. But they just pick it up anyway, and start transforming away... Really pisses me off.

Thanks, I am glad to be here. Yeah I don't really understand about the "playable" thing either. But I will say for the like of combattler and possibly zambot, with all the effort that went into redesigning them they could use more leg mobility so they can at least some interesting posing.

Well, I'll take a shot at this "Playability", as I do use this term in some posts I made. First of all, I wouldn't trash my $100 SOC like kids trashing their cheap action figures. ;D I think playability generally means how user friendly the figure is in terms of holding it, transforming it, posing it, or even pose them for diorama to act out some anime scenes to a certain extend, without worrying the figure being floppy, parts or small pieces falling off or even breakage in some case. Seems pretty straight forward to me. However, if people say Dan and Combattler being not playable, thats a bit too far. Other than Dan being a bit big & heavy, its very fun & easy to pose, and the whole thing is rock solid. Same thing goes to Combattler, just being a bit smaller & has a weak ankle. Combattler's legs can use some better articulations too. But they both pose really good otherwise, holds weapons nicely, and with no small or fragile pieces that fall off or break easily when handling the figure. Zambot 3 on the other hand is on the "not very playable" side IMHO. Many small fragile pieces you have to be very careful of when handling or posing the toy. You can read my opinion on Zambot in fuller detail in the "Zambot" thread if you are interested. I don't know. "Playable" seems very easy to understand for me. They are toys after all. What else do you do with them other than playing it? And playing doesn't necessary means trashing it or slamming it into walls. ;D

Bootx: Yaaarrrggghhh!!!! Oh, that has to be one of my all time peeve-offs. I remember once, one of my more annoying friends (you know the type) thought he'd be clever and tried to make my PG Wing Zero give the finger. Of course, he managed to pop one of the fingers out of the palm. I'm usually very easygoing. Usually. But even my 8-year-old nephew knows better than to mess with the robots. My old buddy suddenly heard," DON'T MESS WITH THAT" loud enough to be heard next door. At least he doesn't mess with the toys anymore. JWM

what am i thinking i understand playable, what i meant was i didn't understand why some thought dancougar was not when he is by far the most transformable robot. But hearing your description of Zambot I can see at least how some may consider certain ones less playable

mpchi: I read your other post about Zambot. Sorry you had some bad luck with it. But yeah, I agree with your "user-friendly" definition of playability. Have you considered contacting Bandai Japan? Perhaps they would be willing to send you a replacement for the broken parts. JWM

Thanks for the concern jwm. Even though I can read some Japanese, I am not fluent enough to write Bandai Japan. Besides, I live in the US. Doubted they would acknowledge any sales done outside Japan. Its too bad my Zambot 3 has more flaws than I have expected, but I can live with that. Luckily they are minor breakage on plastic, instead of a big ass crack on the diecast. ;D Now that I don't know even if super glue can help.
