I took a good look at my Dancouga's booster, and it looks like it's missing something. I'm thinking of painting the panel lines black to make it stand out more, any comments?

Your a brave, brave man . I guess the best way is too use those Gundam markers, but use a fine point since I see to many Gundam models with lines that are just too thick.

Hope you got steady hands man! I tried to draw in the panel lines on a Zoids and screwed it up. Stuff is hard to remove too. My opinion, I'd just leave the SoC alone and leave the touch up on the cheaper toys.

Very nice! Looks like you used a black wash technique there. Definite improvement! I still hesitate to do mess around w/ my SoCs though.

Thanks. I was really afraid how it would turn out, but it turned out pretty nice. I was surprised myself.

That looks really good. You have me thinking of doing this too. So what is the black wash technique and how did you do it?

Well, I used a fine point gundam marker to first fill in the lines. It usually is a bit thick. Then I used an enamel thinner (Testor's brush cleaner) to rub off the excess paint. And it's pretty much how much pressure you put in when you rub it off. The less pressure the more of a "blur" effect you'll get. But make sure you don't wait too long before you take the paint off or else it'll dry and you'll have a hard time removing it.
