I'll probably be stoned for saying this but,I just got aGX-23 and No sir doesn't do it for me. Feels way to plasticy and gimmicky. All the wings and thingies waiting to be broken.Maybe it will grow on me but my first impression is too put it in bubble wrap on my shelf with my other SOCs.T28, Garada and Doublas should give me a good solid unfragile feeling fix to my chogo needs.

That was one of the complaints about Zambot, the brittle plastic used and his lack of leg articulation. But he is pretty sturdy and won't fall apart if you fiddle with him, give him a chance, he'll grow on you .

Zambot will grow on you. When I got my Dancouga GX-13 I had a real negative response to it at first. I was pissed about the neck, and the wobbliness, and totally unimpressed by the transformation. I got over that. I like the Dan fine now. Zambot is a little on the fussy side, but so are all the transforming/combining robots. I've never seen the old Clover Zambot except for Admin's pictures, but to me Zam is the perfect descendant of the old late 70's Bullmark style of combiner robot. And check out how pose-able the Zambo Ace is, and how well the belt secures all those tiny weapon parts. Not only that, but notice that even though the Zam as a whole has a zillion little pieces, every one of them can be stored on the display- even those long metal rods. It doesn't need a stand to hold extra hardware. That is the mark of a well thought out toy. I get a kick out of the Zambot vs Dancouga bit. (I'm a die-hard Zambot partisan in that pseudo-feud) But in reality, "All we are saying, is give Zam a chance." JWM

believe you me, the plastic isn't brittle at all.
It only looks that way, because it's translucent, but it's actually "bendy" and will not break if you make a mistake transforming or combining them.
... and yes, Zambot rules. ;D

What do you guys think will happen to pricing on the gx-23 given the mix reviews? I mean danny boy's price dropped after a while. I hope zamby's will too so I can buy him. Not too willing to pay at today's prices from what I've been hearing. what do you guys think?

If you dig his looks he definitely has all the fixins of a Roy Rogers fixins bar.I still feel more comfortable with a 5lb. metal toy not having so much plastic(my giant robo bazooka ver. is heavy and likes to push the other chogos around on the playground)I still feel like he wants to be broken. I am sure they made him sturdier than I give him credit for but for the money I feel it would have been better spent on a two foot tall shampoo bottle with legs. ;D
