Just saw that GX-11MA is for sale at www.toy-wave.com for 45.00 and on Ebay. I snagged one of Ebay for 39.99 plus 18.00 s/h. She looks good and hopefully my GX-24 and GX-08MA will finally come so I can compare the two.

I just saw the GX-08MA (Aphrodite A) and GX-11MA (Diana) on display in a toyshop in Taipei. Anyway, I've been contemplating whether to buy the Mazinger Angel series. I don't really like the chrome plating. The advertisement photos make the Mazinger Angels look cool and sexy. However, I wasn't so impressed when I saw the actual SOC. I was impressed, however, when I saw another toyshop in Taipei display an original GX-11 Diana with the GX-08MA (Aphrodite A) weapons. I thought the chainwhip attached to a spiked ball was awesome when combined with the original GX-11. Anyway, if I were to purchase the Mazinger Angels series, it would be for the new weapon attachments. The design looks SM inspired, but I think it's something that would've probably appeared in Go Nagai's original 70's anime. I started collecting SOC's back in March, and now I have most of them except for the black series. (I'm still contemplating about purchasing a black GX-03B Com-Battler V for sale in Taiwan for NT$3,250 [USD 97]. The older SOC series are getting difficult to find in toyshops. If you do find one, they're 3x the original price. During my trips to Hong Kong, I spent HK$ 800 [USD 103] for the original GX-08 (Aphrodite A) and 900 HK$ [USD 116] for a GX-09 Mineva. :(Well, I don't really consider the high price paid for the two SOCs. I mean, my Mazinger Z collection wouldn't be complete without all the female super robots. Now with the expected release of Doublas M2 and Garada Garada K7 SOCs, the price of these robots will be even more expensive. Now, the only thing I regret is not purchasing the original GX-08 and GX-11 when I saw them for sale at NT$ 950 [USD 28] in Taipei 2 years ago. Well, I might just go and purchase the MA series, so I won't have regrets later. BTW, I think the photos of the new Mineva Angel look cool. I just wonder how the actual toy looks like.

Welcome to the board!
Yeah, I regret not buying the girls when they originaly came out so I'm getting these new versions now. Although I do like the chrome look, if the originals do go down in price then I might pick up all four.

I originally had my doubts about the MA editions, but the more pics I've seen, the better they seem to look. I just placed my order at toy-wave a couple of days ago for the first two.
Just curious, did anybody get the HK limited items? At first I thought it'd be cool to have (they're compact mirrors with the MA logos engraved on the lids). But then I figured, I have better things to spend fifteen bucks on...

"Ni hao!" from Taipei.
I just bought both the GX-08A (Mazinger Angels Aphrodite A) and GX-11A (Mazinger Angels Dianan A) two days ago. I got them for NT$2,300 (USD 69.00).
I must say that the weapon attachments are fun. They should've added them to the original female super robots.
I'll see about posting some photos.
BTW, I noticed that the name "Dianan" was strange. At first I thought it was a spelling error on the part of the Japanese designers. (The Mazinger female robots are named after Greek or Roman goddesses.) Well, I've been learning Japanese and "Dianan" is indeed written as "Dianan" in the Japanese katakana script. I guess it's no typo on the Roman goddess "Diana".

Well, it's not like "Aphrodai" is correctly spelt either.
