With the new entrant Brave Gohkin GGG from CM Corp, I urge thee, wise collectors, to answer my question.
What is the best Non SOC Modern Chogokin Release?
I can think of four front runners:
1)MP Prime 2)Aoshima Mazinkaiser 3)CM GGG 4)Max Factory GGGG Others?

Depends what you are looking for... I think the most SoC-like is Aoshima's Mazinkaiser: it's a Go Nagai super-robot-style property and it's a big metal gokin toy. I suppose the Mecha-Godzilla from a few years ago also qualifies and a gokin-style toy too. While we move away from classic super-robots and the metal content also decreases, the Metal Material Model line from Gundam Seed is pretty cool too. This toy features a totally metal endo-skeleton with plastic snap-on armour... Bandai decided to call it a "chogokin" on the box!

Soft Garage is another contender. I have a T-28 from SG, and it's great. JWM

I would have to say MP Prime. Mainly because not only is he poseable AND has diecast, unlike GGGG he can also transform. And he transforms into a red truck, I mean how cool is that?

They all amazing figures.
I mean, you cant simply justify them like that, they have histories, back grounds, heart and soul.

i think mf gggg is the best! it may not be very playable mostly due to the fear of breaking something in my case. but i guess i am a little too nervous about my toys! It is a great chogokin. And in my opinion it has 2 things that mp prime doesn´t have. those 2 things are "finesse" and "toy robot glamour". transformer toys are very overrated toys for the masses.

I got to partiallly agree with you on that one joydivision. Transformers are much more alike to Marvel legends than SOC, BUT I believe the Alternators/Binaltech are a step towards deluxe items and MP Prime is indeed extremely "glamorous"...

I wouldn't consider the CM Corps Gaogaigar as Gokin or diecast since a very large amount of it is plastic. I consider diecast toys must have atleast 50% diecast to be considered Gokin. With that said there really aren't too many diecast robots out there. I'm sure Aoshima's new Shin Getter will be awsome and MaxFactory's Mazinkaiser and Gaogaigar will be works of art too. As for what's out right now I would have to say either MaxFactory's Genesis Gaogaigar or Aoshima's Mazinkaiser, leaning more to Gaogaigar due to it's weight and sheer amount of accesories.

The best non-SOC toy line IMO, is the Shin Seiki Goukin line from Aoshima, particularly, their Super Robot line!
The best one in the lot is the Shin Getter One! It may not have a lot in terms of gimmicks, and accesories, but the sheer diecast content, and the almost perfect poseability (without falling over) makes it the best!

MP Prime would be one in terms of quality. To a certain extend, the quality is above some SOC in terms of fitment, design, and just clever engineering. Very big, very heavy, very poseable, and very solid and very transformable! And I am not even a big TF fan. ;D Aoshima Shin Getter 1 is another awesome toy. Very nice sculpt & quality, with heavy diecast. Only grip I have is its hip joint. Tend to get loose swinging sideways due to the weight of the toy. And the robot design does hinder some poseability, like the giant shoulders & spikes on lower arm. But heck of a non-SOC, and way better than the Aoshima Mazinkaiser in my opinion. Hate Mazinkaiser's elbow & the wing attachment, which is really weak in terms of toy engineering. The turbo smasher punch doesn't shoot either. It drops.

i believe that the evangelion SOCs are the best. they have the sleekest designs, can stand up with those small feet, and they look "alive". i only have two of these so far (eva00 blue and eva04 chrome) and i must say they are my faves among my collection ;D
my only concerns are the ball joints in the hips. they popped open when i tried more extreme poses, like the fetal position. it didn't break or anything but it made the joint a little loose and easier to move. has anyone else experienced this? is it a good or a bad thing?(stupid question huh?)

I've never popped a joint on an Evangelion SoC - but thanks for the warning. (sorry to hear about the loose joints though)
