Don't like the upcoming New Wing Shin Getter as much. The wing looks kind of cool, but looks like the previous spring load wing mechanism is taken out to fit that wing size. Also, don't like how the shoulder and knee cap is all red, not satin burgundy like the old one.
And final got the recent New Getter 1. Very nice in a number of ways, but wasn't as good as I hope for in some aspect. The elbow is improved from the Mazinkaiser, but still prone to paint chip when bent 90 degree, and the joint don't seem tight enough to last as the lower arm is big and heavy. Might need to stuff a piece of tape or whatnot inside to add more friction when it gets loose, as I tried tightening up the screw with no effect. Also, find the paint finish is inferior to Shin Getter, with dirt marks, easy paint chip on foot bottom, minor overspray, and thin paint on red plastic wing & tomahawk. Knee bending angle & ankle is a lot more restricted too. Looks like they really want to emphasize more on look, and make sacrifices on poseability. Overall, still a great figure that is worth the price, but wish the above aspects were done differently and had better quality control. Seems like the old Shin Getter 1 is still my favorite, as Aoshima managed to do everything right for me the first time around, but not in the later releases. Though this is an improvement from their Mazinkaiser in a lot of ways.

I am a little bit confused about the new wing Shin Getter.
I read some people complained that the old "devil wing" shin getter, the wing cannot stay on. Now I read that for the new wing Shin Getter, the wing spring mechanism is removed(and it is bad).
So which one should I get? the new wing or the old wing?

The spring mechanism is not removed for sure on the New Wing Shin, it is just my speculation as thats how it looks like it in the pictures published so far, as both the wing size is too big for it & attachment to the back looks thicker.
The Devil Wing Shin is the limited black version of the old Shin. Only this limited black version has the 'devil wing', which is bigger & the coolest looking wing of all, but people complained it keep falling off. Maybe a bit too heavy.
Normal old Shin's wing is smaller, and don't fall off at all on mine, while the spring load action is cool. And it comes with a few different paint variations.
Guess you can wait a bit to see what new info on the New Wing Shin in terms of the wings.

the falling wings of the devil wing is more to how aoshima designed & built the joining area .........a bit of "off-spec" on the wings joint

The problem of waiting for more info to come out is that it will all be sold out. ...
