Hello I seen to have come across a problem with my Combattler.
Over two two years ago the was a 7.2 earthquake that hit my town (fairbanks Alaska) and I had the Coblattler on a high shelf needless to say it fell
I looked it over and the ankle fin had snapped but the foot was still able to hold in place. but I was looking it over a day or two ago and saw that the back of the knee joints are cracked across the back.
is there any way to fix it with out damaging the paint
I'm thinking really thin CA glue but I don't know
I need help thanks clifton

Could you post some pics so we can get a better idea of what the damage is, or you can e-mail me the pictures and I can post them for you.

here you go Chen The cracks are a littel fuzzy but you can see them. they are hair line cracks right now but I don't want them to get bigger.

They look like stress cracks so I don't know if crazy glue will do anything. I think if you don't fool around with them they should be fine and not crack through.

Hairline as they are, those look bad. I don't really recall if the Combattler's knee joints are diecast, but if they are, those are serious. My GX-02R fell 4.5 feet from the shelf to a concrete floor and the chest broke in three places. Tried super glue, and some putty and planned to repaint it afterwards, but the super glue and putty didn't work. I had to sell the fool thing for scrap.., and it was my first SOC too I suggest you look for people who're selling a combattler for parts. That's your best bet. Good luck!

hey Guy's thanks for the heads up. I looked over the upper leg and knee joint and have found that they are made of plastic. More then likely ABS. I can get some extra thin CA glue and try to fill in the crack by capillary action and get so un cure and wipe off the leftovers from the surface. my big concern is the Uncure removing the paint. but it may be worth a try. and I can glue the foot back on.

Good luck. My Gx-03 fell of the shelf about 2 months ago but didnt sustain that kind of damage. Only thing I've noticed is small paintchip on the left knee. I'm trying to find the matching yellow paint to paint it up so it looks as good as new. Hope your planned repairs work out.

Lucky you!
Plastic is somewhat easier to repair than diecast, at least from what I've experienced.
Lotsa luck on fixing that knee. ;D

I wish there was sombody out there who did high quality re-pro parts for SOC's. I know I wouldn't mind having two swords for Dancouga or getting parts for busted SOC's instead of buying whole new replacements, these things aren't the cheapest toys on the market.
