Hello to all SOC fans. I'm so glad that I've found this place to express my passion in SOC. I'm a new SOC fan. A lot of these robots were my favorite TV series characters when I was a kid. Since Nov last year, I've been trying to complete my mission in collecting all SOC's. I started out with GX-01, and then collect them one by one. It seems like the more I got my new SOC, the more I want to own everyone of them. Does anyone have the same passion as I do? Please share some of your feeling with all SOC fans with me

Welcome, kelcel. You came to the right place. Yes, most of us share your passion/obsession. I started my collection accidentally in the Spring of 2000. I found a GX-02 and purchased it on the spot. Since then I have been on a never ending quest to get all of them--I now have GX01- to 26, color versions. I am eagerly awaiting for the GX-27... Oh yeah, I am also in the process of tracking down older SOC's that do not quite fall in the category (PX-02 and the Yamato ship).
Good luck and fun--it is addictive!

Very addictive indeed. Promised to limit my purchases to the Mazinger family. Initially purchased GX-07 and GX-02r but find other SOCs too cool to pass especially the recent GX-23 and 24... Call it addiction, call it nostalgia...one thing's for sure... Bandai will eventually haunt and hypnotize you with their GX numbering system... Resistance is futile so sit back and relax. ;D

I love them fool things too.
But I chose not to collect all of the SOC's that came out.
I just bought the Go Nagai Super Robots, and some combiners.

OT: Oh, careless of me for butting in this discussion without introducing myself! Let me take this opportunity to do so... I'm gizmo, one of the toy collectors here who is from the Philippines... I'm mainly into gundams and recently got bitten by the SOC bug!
Hiya Omni! glad to have you guys at GT's and this forum!
Kelcel: Sorry for the OT! ;D

Thanks for all of your replies! Now I know that I'm not alone here! By the way, does anybody know where should I found the replacement part if something is broken? Can we order it from Japan or is there a place in US? Please help me out here! Thanks

Hello Kelcel, welcome to the forum! Regarding your question about the replacement parts for your SOCs, Bandai does not offer any replacement parts neither any online store or local store in Japan. If you do indeed need some parts, you can try hunting them on eBay, sometimes someone does put them up for sale or you can buy another same set ;D

Yeah it's a shame that Bandai doesn't have a parts department. The next best thing would be if someone reproduced them out of molds or something.

I have each and every soc ever made, including the blacks, the chrome gx-06 and the toy dream project limited edition of the gx-07, I also have the bpx-01 and the px-01.
The only thing missing is a gx-01rb. But I can't seem to find one on ebay anymore, guess I have to try my luck in hong kong once I find the time to go back.

GX-O1 Iron Castle Version is just a gloss paint version of the original GX-01 Mazinger Z. There are pictures already posted in this forum somewhere. You just have to search.
GX-07 Japan Toys "R" Us version is exactly the same as GX-07 Mazinger Z OVA Version except that it comes with an extra pewter figure of Sayaka Yumi.
