Whoa! I didn't even know this guy exists... I have a number of questions: - Is this the same size as the one that comes with GX-23? If so, this would be great because the leg of my original piece broke. I had to crazy glue it in order to put together my Zambot. - How much is a fair priece for GX-23A Zambot Ace? I've seen it for around $95 to $125. - www.hhs365.com a good source to get it? I also have seen it on eBay but it was a little bit more. - How hard is it to get GX-23A Zambot Ace and what year/month was it released? - Are you happy with the item? Man, just when I thought I have all of what I want until GX-27... Thank you very much.

it was a magazine limited toy, you have to buy the Soul of chogokin iron project book and cut off the small sheet inside and mail it to bandai with 5000yen included to get this piece.
It is NOT worth the money, with that money i will get an extra GAIKING and have something left over.

WTF? Dude, that's half the price of the Zambot 3, for one-third of its part...and all you get is the shiny metallic ornaments...I'm with the other guy pass on this and buy a Gaiking or two... ;D

It's only worth maybe $50.00 bucks the prices are so high since there pretty scarce. I'd just throw in an extra $60.00 and buy a new Zambot, then sell your old one.

It is expensive, but if you broke the original one, I don't see any other way way to replace it. And it would upgrade the toy a little. JWM

Uhmmm... I think most people already consider ALL OF US "retarded" for spending this much time and money on our SOC habbit/obsession

Not worth that much really. And I don't like my Zambot 3 all that much. But that aside, Zambot Ace is a very well made little figure. Its the best part in the Zambot 3 set, but wouldn't pay $50 for it. I got more out of the money with Aphrodai Ace, Eva 01, or Boss Borot, all cost around or less than the $50 range. Better off saving the money for a Gaiking like others suggested.

Okay, I spent NT$2,950 (about US$93.00) on the GX-23A. Does that make me retarded? I had problems with my GX-23 Zambot 3. There were major quality problems with the upper leg on Zambase. Fortunately, the toy dealer I purchased it from allowed me to exchange parts with another GX-23 box he had in his store. Just like Collection DX mentioned in its review on the GX-23: As for the GX-23A, I really like the original GX-23 even with its quality flaws. I guess I wanted to remedy some of the quality problems without spending so much. I know a few more NT$ could have bought me a complete GX-23. However, the shiny partys on the GX-23A attracted me. Below are some of the following pros I've listed about the GX-23A: - Metal Chrome Legs
- Real Color Version for the gun
- Extra Gold Plated Accessories for Zambot
There's a production number batch sticker inside the back of GX-23A. Overall, I think the GX-23A is another SOC "Gucci". It's one of those things SOC collectors like to have in their collection. For me, I just like the way it looks. An extra Zambot Ace standing beside my Zambot 3 gives me a smile each time I look at my display case.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I had a bad experience with my Zambot because my Ace guy's leg broke. And so each time I look at my robot, I remember the awful experience. Fortunately, I am able to put the little guy together and put the whole thing as a giant robo. I have not dismantled the big guy because I am concerned that I will not be able to assemble it again. And I am just horrified to see the state of my Ace. The last time I saw him... he was standing crooked.
I am inching towards buying the GX-23A. Welcome to retardation!
roboto, I totally agree. Seeing a Gucci Ace juxtaposed to big ole' Zambot would bring tremendous joy to me. On no, I hope I don't go collecting the Gucci SOC's. I am quite content with my regular color version. I am already dying to have the Spacehip Yamato!

I never thought I'd be collecting Gucci SOC. Anyway, I purchased a GX-02B Great Mazinger Black Version less than a month ago. I'm going for the GX-03B Combatter V Black Version in the next few weeks. The GX-05B also looks good. I really like the extras that come with Black Versions.
BTW, GX-23A is still sold in some toy stores here in Taipei for exactly US$100.

I can understand the frustration of having a piece like the Zambot broken. (Incidently, it's one of my top three favorites.) When I bought the GX19 it was flawed (missing a tiny piece). When I became doubtful that the dealer would replace the part I went ahead and bought a whole new GX19, even though it cost thirty bucks more than the first one. Later the replacement part arrived and I sold the extra. Me retardo too. I'd go for the Ace. JWM

Hi JWM. How and where do you get parts for you SOC's? I didn't even know that one can acquire such valuable items... Is this another form of retardation?

Generally no, you can't get replacement parts for SOC's. The GX19 was a new in the box purchase, and the dealer, toysonline2002, replaced the faulty backpack. JWM

The limited zambo ace is just too expensive. I don't have a normal zambot, but if I did, I'd still rather buy a second than buy the individual ace at current prices. Then I could display the vehicles too. Now, if you already have 2 zambots and you're nuts about it, maybe *then*, so you can display zambo ace, zambot and the zambird all at once.

Hi ataru. What makes the limited Zambot different from the regular one? Thanks.

Mazfan- the limited zambo ace has some chrome and slightly different colors, and some chrome pieces to use in zambot form, but you'd have to use parts from a normal zambot set to do that because the limited piece is only the ace, not including the zambull or zambase.

Hey, that's a good idea! I'm gonna buy another complete GX-23 Zambot that way I can display the Zambot 3 in gattai, Zambot Ace Limited Edition, Zambull, Zambird, and another Zambot Ace.
