i recently purchased a SOC UFO grendizer from ebay which was described as "Pristine mint, never removed from box" but when it arrived there was no tape seal on the box, the robot itself did not come in a plastic wrap nor were the fists. I suspected that it may not be indeed unopened so I emailed the seller and thie response was:
"This item is absolutely pristine mint, never removed from box. The robots do not all come with plastic wrap, nor do the fists."
To gx-04 owners: Is this true?
This may be a bit shallow but when you pay for pristine you want to get pristine.
Thanks

I felt that the head and the telescoping legs were not as tight as they should be. Oh well, can't have em all.

I not 100% percent sure but I don't think Grendizer or any of early SOC's were put into any bags.

I remember my gx-04 had bags on it. So did my gx-04B. If the tape has been broken, chances are it has been removed. I bought my gx-04b last year at a toy fair and it was not touted as mint, but nevertheless, it had bags in it. i always keep all the bags in the box if I wanted to display my pieces. Because later on, when I rotate my collection, I could put them back in for protection.

actually, I do remember all my SOCs initially had the actual robots plastic bagged inside its styro foamed tomb.
Also as far as the tape is concern it was always "unbroken" I distinctively remember this as i've made it part of the "openning ritual" to slice the tape with my swiss army knife.
However, having said this, I still got one with its telescoping legs a bit looser than I would've wanted them to be.
