The only thing I have a problem with in this pic is that he seems to have tiny arms. I think the more accurate word is "short" arms. What makes it look short (at least for me), is that DA's arm design didn't include a mid-section or what we can call the "bicep." But then again, there's that whole inconsistency when it comes to anime proportions. I think we also need to consider the point of view or the angle of view the picture was shot. As with many robot toys, most pictures are shot at a low angle giving the impression that the arms are disproportionate with the rest of the body, which also hints of a smaller head. I'd like to see a pic of the toy in a neutral angle before judging proportions. It is part of my large order, along with Daimos, with HLJ so I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Here's some more Danguard trivia, although Takuma was the pilot of Danguard at first, later in the series Danguard had two pilots the other being Hideto Oboshi. His cockpit was behind Takuma's (you can see it in Satalizer mode on the toy, it's that blue bar right after the red part) and when in Danguard mode was in the chest area, he could also fly and control some of Danguards offensive abilities if Takuma could not. Plus this them was later picked up by Gunbuster.

It seems they always wanted to replace Windstar or Takuma with some other pilot but that never really worked out like when they brought in Tony Rocket and Patty.

that head definitely looks way too small. Look at the danguard ace from whatj's sig and you can see that the head should be as CHEN indicated, at least 50% larger than the current size on the toy. I wonde what it would take to replace the head with a custom resin. The way I see it, the hole is large enough for a bigger head. Everything else on the toy is pretty nice.

But as discussed before, the head is shown at different sizes in the animation, so....the only real way Yamato could have made everyone happy is if they included an alternate head.

Only one I've had cancelled from Diamond so far is Aquarion. From what I've been told by Diamond reps at SDCC SOC Gunbuster was a licensing issue so I can't blame them for that.
and my current DA order is still valid. At least according to my toy source.
