That would stink because I am not really keen on the proportions for the Yamato version. ![:(](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/sad.png)

Me either and this is the one I would love most for Bandai to give the SOC treatment to. Yamato's version just looks too goofy in a cartoony way. Proportions are just bad.
Come on Bandai, you can do eeetttttttt!

OK now I am interested again. Does not look bad. I am still a bit leery it being Yamato and all. I will more than likely buy just because it is Danguard but I would be more excited if it was Bandai making it. Does anyone know where there might be some larger pictures?

Thanks for the pics Chen! I agree that it looks much better than in the prototype picture. Can anyone comment on other Yamato releases? How much diecast do they tend to use? The only non-SOC robot I've purchased is CM's Corps GoShogun. I was very happy with that purchase, but would be hesitant to slap down $170 for this piece without some proof of quality. Does anyone know how tall this Dangard is going to be?

After watching the Yamato GNU Bryger by CollectionDx over at Youtube, I'm kinda worried with Danguard's diecast content. According to the review, Bryger doesn't have diecast parts...

At that size, I hope Yamato decides to apply perfect tansformation.

After watching the Yamato GNU Bryger by CollectionDx over at Youtube, I'm kinda worried with Danguard's diecast content. According to the review, Bryger doesn't have diecast parts... Gold I read a while ago that Yamato had three lines. The GNU GOU is the line that Bryger is from and that line will have no diecast content. In Yamato's words: "Drawing upon Yamato's time-tested experience through the development of countless high-end transformable toys, the GN-U GOU is the culmination of intensive manual labor, the latest in CAD design, and the manipulation of ABS material for sharp, precise detail to fully express the image of each individual Super Robot as it appears in the original anime without sacrificing any play value. While faithfully maintaining proportions and details, the GN-U GOU maximizes playability through an ingenious method of transformation through the combination of interchangeable parts. The GN-U Gou, a perfect marriage of form and function.” Then they have the GNU-DOU line which is the 5" poseable action figure line. Again no diecast. Then they have the line that Groizer X is in. This is the diecast line I believe. If Danguard is in this line I would assume the diecast content will be pretty good. Judging from Sanjeevs comments of Groizer X he said that he has a lot of metal. toyboxdx.com/phorum/read.php?1,177525

Thanks for clarifying things Dooquie, after viewing HLJ's listings again, it does specifically call the Groizer X a GN-U Hagane ("Hagane" means "steel" ) line release. While the Galaxy Cyclone Bryger is just your garden variety "GN-U" toy. www.hlj.com/hljlist2/?Maker1=YMT&MacroType=Toy&GenreCode=Sci&Dis=2So to recap there are indeed three lines for Yamato's Super robots. -GN-U (the parts-forming, no diecast, all plastic line) -GN-U Hagane (the semi-parts forming, diecast line) -GN-U "Dou" (the non-transforming PVC action figure line) The good news is, Danguard is indeed under the GN-U Hagane banner (making it the second release in the Hagane line after Groizer X, third if you count in the Manga recolored Groizer X). So that's a relief. ![:)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/smiley.png) Gold

Sweet! Thanks for all the updates and answers guys! I would still rather have an SOC Dangard Ace, but if it has decent diecast and is around 10" tall then I think it might just be worth the price. The review of Groizer X from Collection DX seemed pretty positive about the quality.
My luck GX-48 will be Dangard Ace. LOL!

I'm still bothered by the shrunken head. I like the size and the ability to transform, but due to the price I'll have to wait for some of your reviews before taking the plunge for this. It is good to see Danguard alive and kicking again.
