Bandai almost never makes a robot that another company has done. Or at least none that I can think of. Someone please correct me if I am wrong but if Bandai dosent do it first then they prolly won't do it!!!

They did the Getters, but that was before AOSHIMA. Other than GUNDAMS, I really can't think of any others...

All I can say is "Remember what happened with the Fewture Getters, the Max Factory Mazinkaiser, and the most recent Konami Gurren Lagann". Once you have it, you can always sell it later - but if you don't get it, you might not be able to find it (at a reasonable price) later...

I still have my doubts about Yamato being able to pull off a good diecast. There are proportionality problems with this figure. Fewture, Max Factory, and Bandai have proven themselves.

My Groizer X had QC issues (paint smudges all over the place). Were I not such a huge fan of Groizer X I would have sold mine already. I will hold and not buy the Danguard Ace until I am sure it is a top quality product.

Oh man, sorry to hear about your Groizer X! I got one from HLJ and it is perfect. I found it to be on the expensive side, but like you said, there are not many renditions of it to choose from.
The Danguard Ace will be even more expensive, but I must give it a try...

If the Danguard sells well, there's a good chance that Yamato will re-issue it.

Is it official now? Max Factory will be re-issuing the Mazinkaiser again? Its been three years since it was initially released. Is anyone here willing to wait that long again???

There were some news (with photograph) that mentioned the Max Mazinkaiser is scheduled for reissue in September 2008. I just can't remember which thread it was...

Yamato updated their website. www.yamato-toys.com/dev/cont_050/index.htmlLooks like the only thing you need to add is the forearms in robot mode and the landing gear in Satalizer mode. But man, if you thought the head was small did you see it without the helmet, lol it reminded me of that character from Beetlejuice!!!

I babelfished it and this is the most important points I could understand. It's gonna be 25cm tall (almost 10"), weigh almost 1000g, and have 60% diecast in it.

This is for Chen: ![](http://www.yamato-toys.com/dev/cont_050/img/photo10b.jpg) ![](http://www.yamato-toys.com/dev/cont_050/img/photo11b.jpg) ![](http://www.yamato-toys.com/dev/cont_050/img/photo12b.jpg) ;D Sorry Chen, I couldn't resist. I agree with you though. I thought the head was small because it was restricted by the size of the hole they used for the it to appear through. It looks like they could have made the head slightly without compromising the size of the hole. They could also have a more proportional head be an add-on part for those of us that don't mind parts-forming. I think I am still getting it. I could be dead before Bandai makes one.

Looking at this more, it really makes me wish for a SOC version. Bandai for sure would make it a perfect transformation and the stylists would have sculpted a way better looking face or even have a optional larger head. But I guess beggers can't be choosers.

And it would probably be cheaper if it was made by Bandai... $250... Geeeezzz!!!

To be fair Yamato is a tiny company compared to Bandai so they don't have the resources to get the engineering/QC that Bandai can in it's SOC line and just the fact that there is even a modern Danguard figure is remarkable. But I just can't help but wonder what Bandai could do...

SHE is a small company. Heck I work for a small company and we are leaders in our industry. We beat the larger companies. I think Yamato is lazy and quick to make a buck.
