Hey, thats the new-color version, right? Nice!
I have the original color. What was the decision behind the recolor? was this version more anime accurate, or closer to the color to the chogokin?
Also, did they fix any QC issues with this release?

hey joshB, im not sure if its a new color version... im still a newbie.... i came across it on ebay a few weeks ago and i thought to myself "WOW, i've always wanted one of these when i was a kid!! and now i can have it!" they didn't have toys like this when i was a kid~ at least not in my neckadawoods~ as for the quality, its actually not bad for being made in china... i only found one flaw to the toy and thats hard to catch to the untrained eye~ overall, i give it a 8 outta 10

Yes, the stand comes with it.
GhoSStRyda, did yours come with marks boomerang thing? if so, then it is a second version. The first version came with a firebird vinyl shell.
The drawbacks of the first version were a nosecone that falls off, doors on the wings dont close all the way, back red fins prone to breaking. Mine is also a darker color than yours.

yup, came with the stand as Josh told ya~
mine was the second version with the boomerang thingie~ i think i would have prefered the phoenix shell over the boomerang~
as far as i can tell, the nose cone seems to fit pretty snug and my doors on the wings are tight. the back door is also pretty tight but feels frail... im so afraid of breaking the damn thing.... good thing its for display purposes so im not so worried about breaking it *knocks on wood*

The firebird shell sucks.
the opening to get the phoenix in is too small, you can't get it in without pieces falling off. Once in, you can't manipulate it to get them back on.
I would have rather had the boomerang. Do the wings on the boomerang move?
