I was agreeing more along the lines of thier Robotech toys as many of us talked about. I feel the Beta would have been a good move.

True, if Toynami released the BETA, that may get their sales up and basically have a hit outside of their Voltron franchise.
It's going to be a double edged sword for them.
If they do release the BETA, I'm sure that they also know they're setting themselves up for an even deeper hole (in terms of RT stuff), if their BETA comes out, and starts blowing chunks (ie Alpha not fitting properly into the Beta, floppy connections, parts won't lock, etc).

Actually, we should worry not really too much about the Beta which we don't know much about. But actually worry about the one we really know about which are the Alphas. Everyone here, heck in the planet, agrees the Alphas suck, with some people breaking it by just taking it out of the box. So the real worry is even if Toynami pulls another Voltron-like success with the Beta, that would be irrelevant if the Alpha breaks as soon as the Beta mounts it. What do we do then?
Maybe Toynami will realize this and reissue a redesigned Alpha, one that will not fall apart when mounted and make a ton of $$.
However, guess who losses, those of us who spent money buying up the first Alphas thinking that the quality could not be as bad as the Veritechs. Instead it was worse.

It's real early to tell but, those Aoshima Alphas disscussed earlier look pretty cool, that's another possibility. Aoshima looks like they have a good start except they don't show them in Battloid mode. "These are the days of the Alpha controversy." ;D I doubt Toynami will want to spend the money to redesign the Alpha like Yamato would.
