got my first valk on tuesday! (customizing....)

Hello,

this is my first post.
I've bought a yamato 1:48 VF1-A CF plus stand and got them on tuesday.
I've been reading about the panel lining mod on this forum and I started doing tests on my own as I was planning to add panel linings and a minor amount of weathering (nothing special..).
For this purpose I've bought a staedtler 0.05 pigment liner www.staedtler.co.uk/pigment_liner_gb.Staedtler

any suggestion for panel lining?

p.s.
I'm going for panel lining minor weathering and stickers applied.
I'm also thinking of recoloring the missiles' heads red to give 'em a more interesting look.

Welcome to the board !

I am not much into panel lining, I either use pencils so I can erase them if ever I make a mistake. Or just try to do a light panel line by dabbing the ink with cloth and just following through the grooves.

Hopefully the other guys would give you more detailed info on panel lining.

I used Rotring 0.05 Pigment Felt-tip sign pen on my Valk, then use a wet q-tip (cotton buds) along the panels to give it the weathered effect.

I'm also using the 0.05 pigmented ink and it's working nicely!
I'll post some pics soon.
I'm also using a silver fine tip for extra details on the handheld gun and possiby the valkyrie itself

after 1 week of planning (and buying the right tools) I started working on customizing my first and only valkyrie.
