I was just wondering if there were ever any Southern Cross/Robotech Masters toys made, aside from the Matchbox hover tank and bioroids. I know the show wasn't very popular in Japan and usually comes in 3rd amongst the Robotech stories in terms of popularity, but watching some of the episodes again recently got me thinking that the Ajac chopper or even the hover tank would make a sweet toy. Just wonderin' if I missed something over the years.

I distinctly recall seeing either actual production toys or just prototypes of Bioroids on their hover-platforms... But for the life of me, I couldn't tell you that I actually saw photos or what. Maybe it was a clip from the Robotech Legacy DVD series.
Also I'm 90% sure I've seen or heard of model kits of the Southern Cross "powered suits." You know the non-tranforming ones that the ground forces used (you see them at the start of the Robotech opening credits sequence).

as far as I know nobody has come out with a hover tank, resin kits are a diffrent matter. I thought there were rumors of toynami or some such coompany having a prototype in a convetion (but i could be wrong) as for the armor suits the japaneses company ARII produced them,in 1/12th scale, hard to find these days. but ebay is your best bet

The Ajax would be great to see in toy form some day.

Yup! Although I only remember the design from the Robotech: Art One book, the Ajax chopper is one of the most badass design there.
Hopefully some current toy company decides to ressurect the design in toy gokin form!
