I know this was discussed once before in a thread I can no longer find, but what's the drawback on the Masterpiece Valks? I remember being told that they didn't compare to the Yamato 1/48s or even the Bandai 1/55 reissues, but why?

First the price, it came out to expensive for something that is domestically released in North America.
It does have more articulation than a Bandai but it does not come with it sturdiness. With it's articulation it is not even aesthetically pleasing like a yamato, so it comes up as an inbetween.
Has light up led eyes, that at times lights up the head, and if the head was turn on the wrong side it can damage the electronics that lights up the lead.
Sculp is not that pleasing though it does have a good A stance for Guardian mode (--gerwalk--).
