No word as of yet, everything is just speculation.
If they make one it is possible, though it will have a very well endowed cockpit area ;D Removing the nose cone will help, but it will still be long lol.

Cool, thanks for the update. If someone gets pictures, pls post them. Thanks According to Graham of Macrossworld.Com, the January issue of Hobby Japan Magazine, features a small black & white line art picture of the Yamato 1/48 GBP-1 Armor!!!At this time, no price is mentioned, but the release date is sometime in 2005. Based on the line art, the nosecone may require removal when placing the armor. From: Macross Protoculture

The 1/48 GBP-1 armor set should be the same, or slightly higher than the 1/48 FAST Pack set. The last time I saw the 1/48 FP set on HLJ, it was going for about JpY5,800 or US$60.00. I'm thinking the GBP-1 to be somewhere along $60-$75. Anything above that is just plain abuse on Yamato's part. We all know how they've been pricing their stuff lately.

Yamato sure knows how to hurt our wallets! Just take a look at the price of the Koenig Monster (transformable one). Yamato Macross toys are great but not cheap.

Still struggling with some additional home expenses. Yep, their prices border on the ludicruous, but they do have some things going for them. Great sculpt and engineering on the toy, AND, they are the only toy company shelling out these toys (no one else touched on the Macross VF-X2 license, or even a Queadluun Rau toy).

I wonder if Yamato will sell the GBP-1s armor as a set (with a valk) as well? They did with the 1/60 scale, what do you think? Speculations anyone?

I wonder if Yamato will sell the GBP-1s armor as a set (with a valk) as well? They did with the 1/60 scale, what do you think? Speculations anyone? It's possible that they'll go to that route, since they have been somewhat successful with the 1/48 FAST Pack set, as well as the 1/60 GBP-1 Set (with the Valkyrie). The question is... drum roll..... can we afford it? The 1/48 GBP-1 only set will go over $60 easy. That's about $10-$15 higher than the 1/48 FAST Pack set. Just imagine adding a 1/48 Valkyrie pricetag to that equation, and we're looking at $200 give or take for the GBP-1 Package.

If the normal 1/48s are around what, 200? Then this will most likely be in the 250-300 range. I really hope they sell both as a set, since that'll be the only way that I'll ever get a valk...and I'm drooling on my keyboard ;D
Is the 1/60 any good, if this one's too expensive? Does anybody have any pics?

Yamato is releasing the armor set for the Christmas season. You can preorder it for $109 @ BBTS. Looks nice but the price...hmm.
