Looks awesome!...but what is it? I've recently been heavily getting into Machine Robo. I have the first 2 dvds and I'm waiting for the 3rd to arrive. Not to mention, I've been buying loose Go-Bots (argh, I hate referring to them as that) like they're going out of style. As if they were really ever "in" style. But anyway, is this some indication that they might reissue the originals? Oh and just for the record, I've also recently started praying that Bandai will do a Baikanfu SOC.

Looks awesome!...but what is it? It's a book in Japanese (of course) that is supposed to cover all Machine Robo and foreign to Japan releases sold until now. It includes concept art and a DVD with commercials. Probably not. However, a little birdie tells me we may soon see Machine Robo Rescue on US toystore shelves... ( tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=76511097 )...look at the current status and the dates under prosecution history... I'm crossing my fingers...

Oh ok, thanks! It would be sweet if they release MR-Rescue in the US.

Okay, so I got the book...
For Machine Robo releases, it is pretty much the Bible. It lists all toys released in the main Machine Robo lines, including contest and mail-order stuff. Sadly, gashapon and other vintage candy toys and model kits and stuff are missing.
For foreign releases...it's pretty good, shows some very rare pieces and stuff I didn't know about yet, but still a lot is missing: - No non-Japanese Asiatic releases (Korean etc.). - Some major color variations missing. - Decent overall packaging overview, but again a lot of stuff missing.
I'm also disappointed that there aren't that many prototypes and test shots shown.
On the other hand, the DVD that is included is fantastic, with over 50 TV commercials, some of which are still excellent (very sharp) for their age. Too bad you need a region 2 DVD player for it...

Well this certainly looks like a must have for MR fans, so I just ordered mine from HLJ. www.hlj.com/product/TYT02022A good deal at just under $28. I found another seller through a Yahoo search asking $49 for it. Btw, be sure to check the other MR items at HLJ. They've got some other things still available that I haven't seen anywhere else.
