Congrats, the regular GFG DX is kind of hard to get. It was sold individually, with the hammer/tools released soon after. Later Toys R us released a repacked giftset.
They're all pretty hard to get now, unfortunately.

Hey guys, I jsut won a Yahoo Japan auction for the gold Yujin DX with Golymarg. for 100 bucks. we will see how much shipping will be. I also bid on the Green metallic but lost that auction. It's amazing how cheap they've gotten. Wasn't the retail price for those (with the DVD) something like $300? The other versions of the toy go for cheap, too. I think part of the reason for the price drop was that it's mostly just a part-swapper with a few transformation points here and there, which, while very cool when it was the only new Brave toy released in years, is pretty crappy compared to the CM's stuff coming out now.

Oh really? its part swapping? the pictures i have seen dotn really show the transformation. i thought they were similar in transformation to the Takara Gaogaigar.

Yup part swap. Need to pull out arms & head of Gaofar, and a couple armor parts. Hands & head are also separate pieces too. But its a nice toy. I love it regardless the part swap.

I'm looking forward to the CM's version. Finally, we'll have a truly transformable GaoFighGar

Ditto on that, I loved the Yujin Dx GFG despite the parts swap too. The flat finish of the plastic added a nice touch IMHO, plus the big honking hammer was a nice addition ;D. I still prefer this hammer set than the one released by CMs. Hehe, well, we did kinda get a transforming GFG from Studio-Half-Eye, but was kinda pricey. Hmm I wonder if CMs will produce a GFG+hammer Giftset after the GFG comes out? Gold

Yeah, the Yujin Hammer is much bigger in terms of proportion. The details are simplified and can't transform. But when put together with the figure, it looks better than CM's. Very tall and much bigger in proportion to GGG/GFG.

Dooood! Get it! I still love the original color version the most. $99 is not too bad. I got mine a bit cheaper on ebay, but with shipping, its almost the same. And that was like 2-3 years back. So glad I didn't miss that chance, as the color version actually started disappearing from the market, averaging around $150 in auctions. I bet even the green or gold version is hard to come by nowadays, let alone the color one.

The Yujin DX Gaofighgar is just awesome. Yes it has part swapping so it's not a perfect transforming version. But it has alot of good things going for it. Its very playable and poseable. Excellent heavy duty plastic with solid joints. Oh and it's BIG 12"+ tall. In comparison to the CM's version the Yujin DX wins hands down. CM's = cheep plastic, crapy joints that don't interlock very well, horrific face sculpt, & it'll fall over if you look at it wrong. Oh and it's small. What the hell is the deal with these toy manufacturers of late a Giant Robot is suppose to be exactly that "GIANT". They keep making them smaller & smaller and charge more & more $ That is absolute Bull S#@t. I personally own just about every incarnation of Gaogaigar, Gaofighgar, and Genesic Gaogaigar. Including CM's limited edt. GGGG ridiculously overpriced @ $700.00 + bucks. Wow, the pics look nice, but too saturated. The turqoise blue looks like a sky blue there. And yeah, I love Yujin's DX GFG, but CM's DX GGGG or the smaller gokin GGG is not half bad. DX GFG feels more solid, but mainly because of the simplified transformation and more limited posebility. CM actually have nicer head sculpts over Yujin's. Think they each has some advantages over the others, while each has their own shortcomings too. Yujin's DX is the most bang for the buck(if get in US, usually around $70 back then) and most solid, with the best proportioned Hammer, but limited posing and with major parts swap. CM's brave gokin GGG has all the accessories and poseability the others don't have, but suffers in size and proportion. Shoulders and lion mane should have locked in place. CM's DX GGGG is the most detailed out of them all, with many small parts that normally would have been omitted for a toy. Best looking and quality Gaigar of any GGG toys I've seen, and the thing is really really cool combined or separated. But needs a lot of careful handling when combined and can barely pose at all. Needs some screw tightening and tweaking to make this baby stay solid. Yeah, and the price tag...
