Hey!
Another question. Are the robots in the Brave Series sentient? I know they have pilots, but I just wanted to know what distinguishes them from Transformers.

Hi maximus!
Well, all the robos in GGG are sentient, with fully human and quite courageous personalities, save - and this is a bit ironic - the big guy himself. Galeon is sentient, sure, but once combined Gaogaigar appears to be no more than an extension of Guy's body. What role Galeon plays in this combined form is not clear, but I do not remember him ever being of any influence. The gaomachines don't appear to have much in terms of sentience, either. (The Genesic gaomachines should be intelligent, but if they are they don't get a chance to show it.)
It's actually a recurring theme that, while, unlike Transformers, they are programmed machines, the Brave robos often go beyond their programming; overriding even being almost completely reprogrammed to destroy. They appear to be more than the sum of their parts.
I don't know much about the other Braves, though. HTH.

Well J-Der, or rather the J Ark, did have the computer w/ intellegence, it just never really did anything w/o J's say so.

It depends on the show whether it's AI or an alien lifeform or a piloted mecha.
Exkaiser: alien lifeforms that possess earth vehicles Fighbird: alien lifeforms that possess earth vehicles, except for Fighbird, who is an alien lifeform that possesses an android Dagarn: I forget, but they're sentient MightGaine: Might Kaiser, Hiryu, and Goryu are piloted, but the rest are AI J-Decker: AI Goldran: I forgot, but they're sentient (except for villain mecha) Dagwon: The Dagwon kids basically *are* the robots, because they merge with their vehicles to form their robot modes Goldran: AI for the most part

Hey Thanks! ;D
I just purchased my first Brave figure, Mightgaine and I am VERY pleased with him. He reminds allot (stature wise) of Star Convoy from TF.
I'll see if I can post some comparison pics this week!

Yeah, J-Decker and Might Gaine are both very similar to Star Convoy. In fact, Duke Fire (the robot that J-Decker combines with) was apparently based on an unreleased Battlestars toy (same series as Star Convoy was from) called, tentatively, "New Rodimus."

Okay Peeps, next question!
So what order do the series go in? I picked up a region free box set from e-bay of Brave Express. Is that the start of the Brave Saga or is there something else before that?
Thanks!

The series aren't connected in any way, shape or form so it doesn't matter wich one you watch first. Also, is the main character on Shin Seiki Yuusha Taisen a Yuusha?

Here's some more info on the Braves www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=1954www.yusha.net/The series aren't connected in any way, shape or form so it doesn't matter wich one you watch first. Also, is the main character on Shin Seiki Yuusha Taisen a Yuusha? From the PS2 game? I think he's Yuusha, the main mech(Layser) is sentient, even though he needs to be piloted(kinda like Might Gaine). Gold
