I just caught wind of this over at Zinc Panic, and caught a couple of photos too. I really liked the design of the little Yujin Baan Gaan and this looks to be almost identical except bigger and hopefully better made. My Yujin figure seemed to fall apart and it wasn't very well thought out to allow for enough room for articulation, so I'm stoked to see CM doing this one. CMs Baan Gaan is part of their Sunrise Mecha line which I'm not sure if that means die cast or not. Price has been announced at 4,400 Yen due out in October.

The Cms Mecha Action Series line is a bit bigger than the previous figures released by Yujin and Kaiyodo. The CM's Corp's Mecha Action Series Gaogaigo compared with the Kaiyodo Robot Musuem Star GGG With the Yujin Master Action figures. BTW I'm not sure if this is the same scale of figures they released with the DVD boxsets over in Japan. Gold

CM's Corp is one of the worst quality toy here in Japan. I would hate to think this would be worse quality than the Yujin figure. The Yujin figure looked good, but the engineering design was lame. The arms couldn't move up past chest height, the armor pieces on the ankles would pop off, and the gun thing on the back broke when I moved it. I just hope CM paid a little bit of attention to the problems the Yujin figure had and made some adjustments.

I thought the Yujin figs were OK. Sure they weren't up to snuff with engineering, but at the time with the limited stuff we did have, it was neat to have a poseable figure of GGG. Of course, now with TRANSFORMING GGG toys, one can set the bar much higher... ;D

Maybe it's a preview of what CMS' new brave gokin would be!! The robot looks sweet, tho. Since I'm not familiar with the character, can someone verify what this robot do (combiner, transforming)?!

I'm pretty sure it will just be an action figure type of thing without any combining or transforming.

CM's Corp is one of the worst quality toy here in Japan. Hehe, can't be worse than Yamato's recent quality control with the 1/60 VF0S and Garland. Those things just had really bad QC(or so I've read). BTW My Yujin figures keep "bleeding out" the gold paint for some reason. They're kept in their boxes and stored away from light and heat, but the gold paint just keeps melting off, I have to open them up from time to time just to wipe the melted paint before it gets ugly. They just look less bright now. I had the same problem with the Master action Mazinkaiser too before I sold it. Gold

Gold There's been a couple of threads about this, and an article over at Zinc Panic talks a little bit about it also. It's the additives in the plastic "bleeding" out and removing the paint with it. PVC seems to to have this problem imparticular. I've never seen it happen with ABS. But anyway, cheap plastic often has different additives that don't always like to stay in PVC and so they seep out over time. One of the few benefits of resin is that it's plastic, but without any additives, so it shouldn't have this problem.

Well its supposed to be a combiner. A small blue car (Baan) combines with his truck(Gaan Dasher) to form Baan Gaan. His companion mecha is Mach Sperion is is a combination of Sperion (the little red robot) and mach fighter (a red eagle thing I suppose). Then Baan Gaan and Mach Sperion further combines to form Great Baan Gaan which is the toy you see here. I wished they'd make a brave gokin out of it though. But after the God Raijinoh fiasco , I want them to release them sperately.

With all the details, it looks like a Gundam FIX figure. Still very nice, I want one
