CM's Brave Gokin 02x Gaogaigar Pliers To my surprise, it turned out to be a model kit! Luckily the parts weren't that complicated to assemble and didn't require glue. Dimension Pliers!! Used by Gaogaigar to bend space and break through enemy barriers(I'm not exactly sure just how, hehe) "auto activation mode" pliers Pliers Connect!! a few thoughts -absolutely no diecast, the shiny parts are just all chrome painted orange plastic(which makes me worry that the chrome will fade later on) -the pliers don't open, so you can't fit the Goldion hammer in the grips -works only for Gaogaigar(and maybe Gaofighgar) but definitely won't connect with Genesic GGG, due to the fist plug holes being present in GGG and absent on the GGGG. -the connection is really, really weak. There's no lock, the plugs hardly fit into the slots in the arms, It's not secure and the support stand doesn't really help. I'd recommend not posing this toy in "pliers connect to GGG mode" if you plan to display it, it's a shelf dive waiting to happen. -on the bright side at least we get the three plier bots(DP-C1, DP-R2, DP-L3) for the first time in toy form. -watch out for DP-R2's antenne, they look like they're prone to breakage, since you have to rotate them when you transform them for "Dimension Pliers" mode. -when assembling, find part B-13 right away. It's the post for the support stand, I almost threw it out with the rest of the model frame before I realized it was still there on the frame. Gold

Thanks for the review, Gold. This is actually very disappointing. I like the fact that it's a do-it-yourself, but the lack of articulation at the plier jaw really hurts it. Still a neat kit, though. I think I'm gonna have to sit this one out for a while and see what I really think.

Man, if I wanted a model kit, I'd just buy the cheapy Kabaya one. I think that one at least opens a little in pliers mode. And no gokin at all on this Brave Gokin... ;_; At least everything come pre-painted, I guess... Sounds pretty disappointing. Thanks just the same for the review, Gold.

Thanks guys the non-opening Pliers Jaw isn't really a big thing for me but it's the risky connection to GGG that makes me feel disappointed with the toy. Kinda defeats the purpose. Still, it looks good next to the GGG so it's not a total loss. Gold

CM's are getting increasingly dissapointing, I think Great BaanGaan will be their last chance.

No doubt this is still a decent set. I do have to agree with Fort Max; CMs really starting to drop the ball.

Nice review Gold! By the way just how much are the pliers? It sucks that they don't open and you have to assemble them yourself but I guess they do make a nice display piece.

Yeah, I agree, guys, granted CMs is new to the high end toys theme(they used to only do gashapons), I think they've had more than enough tries at it. I hope they can up the ante a bit to Bandai or Maxfactory's level. Thanks Chen, the Pliers are roughly 40$ here, yeah hehe, it does make a great display piece(mainly because it's big) Gold

That plier & hammer thing looks a bit silly to me... GGG doesn't need those Playschool-ish accessories imo.

If you really think about it, the whole concept of GGG is silly...I mean, a lion and a stealth bomber? But it's the quirkiness that makes the whole series endearing. And don't forget that the Brave/Yuusha cartoons were aimed primarily at kids (although the subject matter and violence in GGG seemed to be geared more towards adults).
I personally love the wacky gigantic tools. GOLDION HAMMAAAAH!

any seller where to buy it? Hi Lord Zarak, I'm a little confused, did you mean the GGG Hammer set or the Pliers kit? Greattoysonline has the Pliers kit, not sure if he still has the hammer set in stock, try contacting him through his Ebay account(greattoys-greattoys) Good luck Gold
