I just got my very fist S.H.E. figure today : Perfect Change Compact Version Shin Getter 2. Wow! I'm totally amazed. I've never seen such a high level of engineering on any other transforming robot so far.
As I was transforming the 3 little ships into robot components, I couldn't help but be amazed at all the clever transformation solutions. The way the legs are formed, how the boosters (or whatever they are) fold, etc. Crazy stuff!
I didn't know what to expect from a resin toy. I thought it was going to be made of some soft crummy self-destroying plastic with loose joints and stuff, but not, it's very sturdy.
As it is, it's probably the most precious piece of my collection. I wanna get more now! I will try to post pictures later.

I agree that SHE stuff is amazing, and resin gets an undeserved bad rap for being brittle but I've never found that to be true. I would be way more on board with SHE products if they didn't cost so much. In fact I was just checking out that new perfect change Cybaster yesterday, but $598..it's just way too much. halfeye.m78.com/products/cybaster/cybaster_1/cybaster_1_top/cyb_1_top.html I really enjoy my little SHE Gravion figure. He's very well made and the transformation is awesome.

Darn... I wanted to stiffen a bit a ball joint with super glue... and it became too stiff and it snapped. Luckily, I've been able to repair it. Ewwwwwwwwww... I'll never ever do it again! Here are a couple pictures...

Looks amazing, I've been trying to find a CV Shin Getter 1. I remember BBTS.com had it for awhile at a discounted price of 294.99 with 20% off. With the discount, it was at around 260 with shipping.. And I thought that was too high. Now with the metallic version coming out, I am tempted in getting one from HLJ. I'll have to wait and see my Simple Change Getter 1 before I decide on more SHE stuff. I used to Collect resin statue so I know. It's hard plastic. Just don't every drop it and it will be fine. Although it's not as flexible it's still better than PVC and ABS plastic.

f**k. I want it even more than you.
Btw, I know nothing about the show, but is there an explanation to why the 3 ships of Shin Getter-1 are nearly identical to the ships of Shin Getter-2 yet they transform into 2 completely different robots?

definately interested, pm sent
Megatroptimus, the three getter ships are supposed to be identical and depending on how they combine, they can become 1 of 3 different Getters. You have Shin Getter 2, made when Getter Jaguar, then Bear then Eagle Combination. Shin Getter 1 is from with Getter Eagle, Jaguar and then Bear, and Shin Getter 3 is from with Bear then Eagle and Jaguar on the bottom. But S.H.E. has not made a Shin Getter 3 yet.

I've got 2 SHEs not too keen on both. I do love the perfect transformation Getter, just because of the fact that it transforms to all 3 getter robots. Since I can remember I've always dreamed of a toy that could transform to all 3 Getters, so This toy's been a God sent Having said that, I absolutely HATE resin, its brittle, you can't use "crazy glue" to glue parts that have snapped, and the joints are super loose, the screwdriver does not help. As you can see my Getter can't stand without support [joints are too loose] To date, one of the axes of the Getter has taken a self dive and broke off. The tip of the Shin Getter's staff axe also broke from another shelf dive The icing on the cake is that the Shin Getter's White torso has tarnished to a taint of yellow so I just keep it in ship mode to avoid seeing it Amids all this, its horrendously expensive, I don't think its engineering is worth its price tag. With all this sour experience, I've grown to HATE SHE and I do not think I'll add to my SHE collection anytime soon

How come I've been succesfully able to repair mine with super glue then? And none of the joints are loose on my figure, the one I tried to "fix", I was just being picky.

They redesign both the Perfect change and the CV Shin Getter. The second version are always better, they change the over all design. You can compare the look of your Perfect change Getter with the one that Daikumaryu posted and your Shin Getter with the one that Quinjester posted. Completely different.

I would never defend resin as the ideal material, but I've never had any horrible experiences with it. I have to agree that SHE should design better joints, which now that I'm thinking about it, SHE's simple joint system makes no sense being the engineering gurus that they are, but that has nothing to do with resin specifically.
There are glues that are made to work specifically with resin, but any superglue should be fine. If you are finding that your superglue isn't working, it means it's probably outdated. Most cyanoacrylate glues (the most common model glue type) starts to lose potency after about a year, and gets really weak in about three years. If you are looking for good model glues that work well with resin, Polyzap has worked excellent for me, and Dr. Mike's Formula 2 is serious HEAVY, HEAVY DUTY. Both of these should work on any type of resin including hard to bond resins like lexan.

haha I too have jumped to the SHE bandwagon. Although im not a fan of Getterrobo. I am a burgeoning fan of Brave toys. I just got myself the Smallest Transforming Might Gaine. I will do a photoshoot whenever I actually get it. Stupid seller sent it to the wrong address. minor inconvenience. But this guy's pics really make SHE kits look badassed. He has Goddonar, Smallest Exkaiser and Smallest Dragon Kaiser. www.geocities.jp/blade_kurogane/goukin.html

You can compare the look of your Perfect change Getter with the one that Daikumaryu posted and your Shin Getter with the one that Quinjester posted. Completely different. Nope they're not all that different. All that differ from that Shin G. and Mine are the leg & wing detail that's it. As for the Perfect Getter its more the torso to capture that "egg-shaped" body from the New Getter anime and I think there was also a minor torso connector added for reinforcement that's pretty much it. Too bad though, because I really have no quams with SHEs transformation engineering. Its the "crumble-in-your-hands-after- you've-just-spent-a-small-fortune" effect coupled with the "bearly-able-to-hold-itself-up-looselesness" syndrome that I have a problem with. Though I'd really like a transforming Godannar, SHE won't be getting any further monies from me that's for sure. Xio: I'll try supergluing it again, hopefully I'll work this time, thanks for the advise
