I am looking into buying a Jumbo Grade RX-78-2. Basically it is a toy, with some parts still to be assembled. I am hoping to get it but I'd like to hear any comments from anyone who may already own it.
I saw one on sale for about P3,500 (about $70).
Is it a steal?

I haven't seen them for sale in a long time....hmmm... I'll check again to help you with your price. Off hand it sounds like a very good price that you have. It seems that all new jumbo-type toys are over $60.

Be very wary when buying the Jumbo Grade Gundam....there are knock offs that are selling for about $50-$80....but look at the box close! There are labeled "Gundan"....instead of Gundam. Also, they will have different paint and maybe even the "WB" or RX78 decals applied to the shoulders. Even that they look like quality knock offs....they are Hong Kong bootlegs just the same.
