Yeh I got one. the Hyaku-Shiki is HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY for a 1/144. About 80 percent of it is made up of diecast with shiny gold chrome. ;D Packaging is a bit different inside the box. Instead of using clear plastic, it is housed in a similar material to egg cartons..but tougher and stiffer...Maybe the weight of the figure is too much for plastic! It is highly poseable and very very menacing when suited up. You won't regret it if you are a fan of the Zeta's I have just recently moved house and have stored the Hyaku along with my other collection so unfortunately I cant post pics sorry!

I've seen and handled the Hyaku Shiki. It's a relatively nice toy. Well built and pretty hefty for it's size. But, I would rather have the Metal Material Gundams over it. They are bigger, meaner, and deadlier

I got both the Bandai metal material Strike Gundam with the metal skeleton as well as the Hyaku-Shiki. And I gotta say, I personally still prefer the Goldie' Oh well, each to their own. The Hyaku is not my favourite..there are just sooooo many damn variations of Gundam out there, some really stoopid and kidsie in my opinion. My fav would still to be the venerable RX-78-2 Imagine! Bandai releasing a SOC "Side 7 Attack" set like they did with the Getta's... consisting of the Gundam RX-75 and RX-77 and RX-78.. woohoo!

Bandai's expansion of the KS line beyond the current 4,000 iterations of RX-78 recolors would be a wonderful thing. Don't get me wrong, recolors are A-0K with me, the Black Tri-Stars Zakus really made my day. But c'mon, a KS Dom or Gouf would be spectacular.
I liked the Shiki quite a bit, fun stuff. I'm waiting to see what the MMM strikes are like...they should be here soon.

The Shiki appealed to me becuase of it is diecast, shininess, has plenty of articulation, nice weapons accesories, and hefty for its size...but size for me is what turned me off after getting it. From pics I've seen (Thanks Tim Brisko! ;D), I really expected this fig to be much bigger.
I have to admit that I bought in on the Shiki hype because of the good folks at another board. People were talking about getting both MM Strikes and the Shiki at the same time (Brisko's pics influenced me a lot) and so I did the same. Its my first Gundam from the Kado-Senshi line and even though I really don't have a large collection of Gundams, it seems out of place because of its size (1/144?). I'm still pretty much a noobie in collecting Gundams cos all I have are some 1/100 models (mostly from Wing), the NMM Turn A & MMM Strikes, and some boots. I bought in on the diecast aspect and expected it to be like its MM brothers. And since I now have a diecast fetish, I couldn't get into the MSIAs and FIX line because they lack diecast (they have none), I don't have any G's anywhere near the KS's size and proportion. In the future, I might decide to get a few KSs to display along with my Shiki but I'm not too impressed with the previous releases and I just have other toy priorities right now.

I have to agree with you about Tim Brisko's pics! He did a Rumble for the Yujin Getter One (the Meltdown and Regular version) and the pics were sooo delicious to the eye that I actually thought that Getter would be something around 7inches or maybe more. Imagine my surprise when they showed a picture of it next to an MSiA (it looked like The O but with a large cannon on it's back and something trailing behind it), and the Getter from Yujin was practically smaller! I have to give props to Tim though, his pics are always somethine worth waiting for Diecast fetish, oh yeah! ;D

It's amazing that I haven't checked out this thread before. I had no idea these things even existed. NOW I WANT ONE! I just looked at the Zeta Gundam version at HLJ. Does anyone have it? 1/144 scale, die-cast, poseable, transformable, and it's the MSZ006 Zeta, (my favorite ship) Gundam? sounds to good to be true. JWM

It is too good to be true. Apparently the diecast content of the Z, and the upcoming ZZ, is pretty limited. But as far as transforming Zetas go, this is supposed to be the best thing this side of the PG. The shiki, however, is a brick.

The shiki, however, is a brick. mmm. Brick?? No. Dont think so.. How many die-cast-filled mecha action figure do you know of that can do a Bruce Lee Round House Head kick? ;D (Photo to follow soon!!) The Zeta is "quite" poseable..it has joints in most of the major areas of movements..But the design of the mech is just too limiting for all the joints to show its full potential. Also, its nearly impossible to pose that damn Super Dooper Mega gun. Yes it does have very good transformation..but i found it a bit finiky. As to diecast? its only int he thighs and upper arms,

Huh, yeah, I guess I refer to just about anything with a high diecast content as a brick, which would include the KS Shiki and Zakus.

Thanks for the info! But just when I thought it was safe to look at a new thread, now some money grabbing mecha is swimming up from the depths of cyberspace to bite me in the back pocket. Happens every time. But aaarrrggghhh! I gotta' wait... JWM

I just got mine yesterday. It took a little wheeling, dealing, and sly-dogging but I managed to get it sneaked in, and shipped with the yellow EVA that I had on pre-order. What a kick! This little guy manages somehow to be the meanest kid on an already very tough block. Right now he's just about to make mincemeat out of the Aggressive Beasts. And I don't even trust him near the 'Zabi. Shiki rocks! ;D JWM

Brought up a thread from the past to view my thoughts on the Hyaku Shiki. One of my favorite gokins. Small and convient sized, super posable(can even do a split!!!!!),and 80% die-cast.However some parts seem to be fragile(rear skirt) but I guess they're supposed to be like this.Anyway this Kado Senshi will provide you with hours(or even days) of endless posability.
